If 215 has a chance, definitely 237 also has a chance. A lot depends on GDPI so prepare for that. Its too late to waste your time in speculation. just go ahead, attend the process and you will find out within 20 days. 237 should be around 98percentile, but believe me i am no shane warne.

MBA-banking and CM are good enough courses but there is a rider that you should be interested in hardcore finance as there will be no opportunity for changing tracks later. So if you are game for superspecialization within finance, these courses are good enough.

1: Concentration in one of the areas - Marketing, Finance, Operations and IT. HR was also offered till the batch of 2010-2012. This concentration is akin to what is called majors. You need to choose 8 credits of a particular area out of a 15 credits in the second year for this concentration.
2: General Management - you need to choose minimum 2 credits from 5 areas from among Marketing, Finance, Operations, IT, HR, Strategy, Economics and Communications.

The amount of freedom available is phenomenal - you can choose from over 110 courses.

MBA CM is a part of finance, where you deal with activities related to capital markets. The various fields where you can work are investment banking, equity research, credit rating agencies, brokerage houses etc. you can PM me for more details if you want.

you havent mentioned your first preference. Regarding chance, you do have a chance to clear, so get it out of scenario. MBA CM is a good course and it has been designed taking into mind the feedback provided by the industry. The same is true for all the courses. Now, the question here is that if you get into capital markets, you will stay here for your entire career because it is a focussed course. So if you dont have any interest in the field then you may not like it afterwards. So that is the question you have to answer for yourself, otherwise the course is as good as any other course in the country.

second year again it is 4 lacs. so that is a total of 8.01 lacs excluding hostel and food. but keep in mind, it is for 2010-2012 batch and it is always subject to revision.

I can comment on your 3rd and 4th question.
3. People who have been called for MBA-HR are those who had put it in first two preferences.
4. Its difficult to suggest, because i dont know what exactly you have put in your SOP, but definitely if the SOP comes into picture during PI then there is no option but you have to say that you were not aware of this development. You can tame down your love for the HR and say that you have equal interest in some other streams and try to justify with your work ex or extracurriculars if possible. By the way, what is your second preference?

For all your queries, we are not aware if the HR subjects will still be offered as electives in the second year for MBA Core. So, I can't really comment on this.

I will like to tell you that i am from capital markets, so i am saved from this headache. you dont have any majors and minors here. all you get to do is you have to select subjects. depending on the choice of subjects you can specialize in 2 courses at a time.I will like somebody from core to comment on that.
The new structure is not on site i guess. it will be there in some time.

Just tell them the fact because now you cant change your SOP. Atleast they will get to know that they should have clarified this before that HR is not available in core.

Mukesh patel college is diagonally opposite Cooper Hospital. So, as nakul advised, tell autowalla to take you to Cooper Hospital.

Do not tell Mithibai college. Mukesh patel is about 5-7 mins walk from Mithibai college. And Mithibai and Cooper are equally well-known.

i had my gd/pi yst.. gd went smoothly. we had two mins to chose between the two topics. u cud discuss n reach a consensus fr the topic or u cud even vote n choose. we didnt get tym to thnk abt the topic. after we chose the topic r gd started immediately. it was an easy topic" pollution n development are the two sides of same coin" . the 2nd topic ws: smartphones are changn the social nature of mankind. the pi: 3 members in panel. two male 1 female. i was asked u have 90 marks in english in class Xth. cn u tell me the name of the frst poem n the author...?? :splat:
i named bt he said its wrong n thn he recited the poenm fr me ... :shocked:
i was also asked abt the play dt i studied in Xth "julius ceaser" and its cross connection wd the midsummer nght dream?????
a few questions regardn financial analysis lyk under which side heading did u read the topic "debt to equity ratio"..
my pi ws a total mess!! :splat:

Carry the printout of the rescheduling mail (Very important)
Also carry copies of all the documents that you sent to NMIMS via post.

I had a rescheduled appointment and they did not have my documents (they keep only the originally scheduled candidates' documents at hand IMO), so I had to provide them a full set again.


No need for proof of reason for slot change.

don't go to the center too early if you know the center already because they will not allow you inside the building before your mentioned slot and you would have to sit in the canteen which is very CLUMSY to say the least.and people palnning on wearing coats mumbai's temp. are rising.i sweated through the whole process.
