The GD/PI topics can be anything under the sun.....

The topics concerning retail management, Advertising, Marketing, merchandising etc...

Other than NIFT Delhi...NIFT Mumbai is an option...this year it bagged the biggest package...NIFT BAgalore and Gandhinagar are other 2 good options..


In a GD..Its a group discussion where you work as a team to discuss on a topic given to you...
In a PI...its an interview where you directly confront the interviewer and answer the questions they ask you.... there are no other aspirants other than you in the room..

wat is the difference between GD n PI for aspirants except d numbr of interviewers ofcors?

wich nift centre was best in 2009 for MFM students in view of placements?
n if i m askd in interview about my preference to wich centre i wud like to gt admission thn can u sugest 3-4 best centres except NEW DELHI? how is Gandhinagar?

For MFM aspirants,are ther any subjects wich comonly asked in most of d subjects?

Great aint it ? me to yaar , i just attempted 12 coz it was kinda very confusing ..i messed up three of them , and those were the only answers i got wrong in da whole paper ...but there were lotta of them which were quite easy ...
it wont matter now , but in GD and PI, thats what they look for ... coz u have to support ur answers with Gk and they can ask u Gk question P.I.

hey guys , this what i have heard from ex nift faculty there are no cuttoffs for nift as such ..... its purely based on how many correct answers you have given , and hence the gd/pi list is drawn.. so those with maximum correct answers/mark considering -ve marks as well .... will be listed in asscending order, and incase if its theres a tie or something those who are older (dd/mm/yy)... will be given prefences.... so its a case were anyone can go thorugh,coz sum mistakes here and there would mean doomsday !!!!

What about the cut offs? attempting 120 out of 150 of which 100 are expected to be correct is Good?

FINALLY, some good news to cheer u up puys.....

the placements of mfm( NIFT MUMBAI) has been great this year. nearly 70% of the batch is already placed with salaries ranging from 20000-40000 p.m( CTC). the placement process is still underway and i will keep u all updated with the latest news. i dont have the information about the other centers but i assume the condition is same everywhere.

rimz , im sure u have done well in GAT, coz 110 was perfect ... 72 was bit too much yaar ..... coz there was lotta cache in second paper .... in dat diagrams and major and minor objective thingy .... and in reason and assertion to ....coz sum of the answers were wrong from thier side ....and they r free to discard those questions ..........for eg there was question there were two answers with 3 , i think answer for dat was 3 as well .

but if your cleared that cache then ur going through !!!!!!!!!!!!

cuttoff's will be really high this time guys,as this time more 1000 gave mfm form three centres of bangalore , and most of the have done well ...so you have 27 more states ...think about it .... you all have equal chance of making it and not making it as well , so wait for results wait till mid April , im actually worried and anxious myself .......its all fate now coz .... a pre school boy can even beat us on that paper !!!

dont u sense a possibility of a sectional cuttoff ?? coz otherwise it would be unfair on students part,when you think from thier point of view ??

and dont u think that the sectional cuttoffs would make it would make it easier for them to evaluate students??

NIFT MFM paper was easy...

Attempted 116 out of 150 in GAT....out of which 105-110 should be correct...

Attempted 69 questions out of 75 in MAT.... and Mostly all of them are correct if not all...

Tell me where do I stand...and also tell my chances..
