Guys i will be giving my MBA CET in 2012 and i wanted to know how is SPECIALIZATION in any stream decided?

I went through the cut-offs of various institutes but it only mentions about the course and various categories.Nothing regarding Finance,Marketing etc is described.
Are we supposed to give our area of Specialization after taking admission in any
college or is there any other criteria?

Also plz let me know whether Finance is a good stream to opt for especially since i have done my Engineering(Not interested in Marketing or HR)?

If not this leads me with only options of Operations,System.Which to select?

and adding to what he has told you, the syllabus of first yr is a mixture of all the streams, so it wont be tough for you to decide on that. The best you can do till ur admissions are done is start reading, reading everything which is reqd before u join a Bschool, Start reading ET (Mint if ur a beginner), good B-Magazines like Business World, Follow posts in 'The Economist'.

Since m an SC candidate, my fees in MET for MMS is Rs. 30,000 for 2 years.
Whereas 4 pgdm sies its 4 Lakhs for d entire course. dt is just 1 way to luk at it.
would request all of u to help me out in clearing my confusion as to what i should do.

Post ur query on forums of respective colleges... with the response u got, make your own decision... Students from college X would always support college X. So it would be better if u take a neutral decision in such a case. I would suggest u to consult professors or counselors from respected coaching institutes.

Yaar,specialization will be decided only by second year..there will be enough time to decide and even interact with seniors in detail regarding it.So,whichever stream you wanna know..you will get to know abt it..as the class starts..and by the end of first year..you will be definitely able to sort out your stream.

wants admissiom in either chetana, met. or ies but considering the cutoff want be possible in cap round 3 but i just want to ask what r my chances in cap round 4 and i have already filled up form till ies for cap 3.

in these colleges..for rizvi..and indira looks good...try to contact students of those colleges to get actual idea.
