Nothing is more risky than waiting for 2nd and 3rd CAP for CATEGORY students. :nono:

It has seen in past that cut off for colleges goes higher and higher for CATEGORY students.

Confirm your admission in 1st Merit list itself, waiting for 2nd and 3rd CAP is like gambling!

If you get the 1 mark, you will surely get Bajaj, but without that at this rank it is tough.

Last year, last person to get JB HU open seat had Univ Rank 42. And in 2009, it was rank 41.

What are my chances for indira with an AIR 690, score 126, category OMS? will I make it through in round one? I noticed there was a huge difference in 2009 cut off rank (551) and 2010 (99 for OMS... do I stand a shot?

In the pdf list they have displayed my name in WE cert recieved before due date and my marks are 0. I have a relevant years of wrk ex in infy and i shud get my 2 marks accordingly.. cos last year also i had got marks for the same. So i guess for my case they have made a mistake and the addition of these 2 marks wud help me to climb up in the ranking...

yup...you stand a definite chance @ JB...congrats in advance
and you should get that 1 mark for 1+ year of WE...kindly check the lists of WE marks allotment on DTE's candidate login page.
In case you find a grievance...Call dte...or check@ARC...between 20-23 june.

In order......JB, Syd, Welingkar, KJ Som.
Pune...there is only...PUMBA...worthtaking.

You can keep ur hopes till round 3...
I advise...u shd go ahead with any of these top colleges...without wasting another year u ll b in good position to shape up ur career faster as an MBA. (my personal exp.)
Otherwise u can go for another try...with any job during the time...but u ll hav to ensure better marks next time...to get top college n compensate for a year with good placements...
finally i wud say...its all again permutation n combination stuff...so many "IF"s :D
so take a brave but good decision...All the best.

I guess JB generally closes by Univ Rank 38/39/40.
You can pray at least...if 3-4 guys ahead of you gets some IIM/FMS/XL and opt for it too...you stand a bleak chance.
But Syd is definitely on the cards...Just go ahead man...dont stick to name too much...naam me kya rakha hai...ur work counts way beyond...in the long run !!!

Puys......please help me out.....
I got Univ rank 33(171/240)...HU......so a JB probable(since final list is not out and CET ppl have goofed up in giving Work Ex marks, so could be movement in ranks)
Now, the issue is, final list is on 29th, and if i cancel my NM admission after 21 June, they wont refund a penny.
I am planning to meet the Registrar at NM........but very little hope there.
any suggestions on what should I do, cancel Nm or wait?
