not sure about gcet/GIMT...but it do have a gud industry exposure and a TNP cell,as far as B.TECH is cons....

galgotia has a brand value in NCR ...n in uptu colleges,it certainly comes in "top 5" as far as mba is cons....

n if ur inclined towards doing mba from uptu colleges..gimt is no doubt one of the best colleges...

try to b in touch with 2nd yr students..they have their community on social networking sites such as ORKUT,FACEBOOK....

they will definately help u in this regard.....

I have heard following news about one of the big private educational group . According to news paper , few girls were found in hotel rooms with some government official in a police raid. .

Girls students belong to GLB Institute of Technology and Management was found with some judicial officials in a police raid at Hotel Royal Brijwasi, Mathura. According to arrested students, they were sexually molested by institute chairmans son and than forcefully sent to this hotel to stay with judicial officers in night.

Is it safe to get admission in this kind of institutions?

IIM has internal policy , to call an aspirants based on its CAT score. I saw some example that a person with 99+ percentile does not get any call from any IIM and on other hand a person with 96 percentile got a call from IIMA.

There was a difference between these two guys.
1. Previous academic record
2. Total number of post education experience
So it may happen that your issue may be a cause for not any call from IIM.

hey guys,wat if sumone has the misfortune of failing a year in their b.tech(frm uptu) and finally completes his/her graduation in 5 years and at CAT level scores a high percentile(say in 97 98 range):does the failure mean a complete no- no from all the premier B-Schools or does it have only a marginal effect????any replies r most welcome....

Off Campus Online counseling is an exercise for counseling procedure. Perhaps it is not mandatory. One has to attend On Campus Online counseling on scheduled date.

I saw placement record for few institutes on its websites. Most of the placements are in "Insurance & Banking". Which are easily available in open market. If you are looking and analyzing placement records for institutes than one should check for the placement on "Core Industry".

hi dear, dis is Parul, one of the reason of MAT col. being superior to dose oy UPTU is dat MAT col. counts in national level, whereas UPTU one r only state level col.

It seems good after visiting both institutes' websites. Both institutes are government controlled.
If we compare with any private management institutes than these both institutes are quite impressive. If one is looking for government institute in co-operative marketing than these are options.

Firstly CAT: 70 and MAT: 94 are not good score at all.
It should be your own choice and decision.

Get admission in UPTU College for MBA and work hard. Groomed yourself so after passing out you can market yourself well.

Hi,
Institutes are for grooming and educating a person. After passing out individual has to grind him/her for getting decent jobs. In your case where NDIM vs KEIT; KEIT is better choice because NDIM is not promising any decent placement . So save your money and groom yourself by participating in MDP, Seminars, Training programs etc.
Finally after passing out you will be a product and you have to market yourself. So grind yourself.

These are my personal opinions. Take your decision on own.

KIET: Krishna Institute of Engineering & Technology is same as other engineering college in that region; nothing special about this institute. There is no campus placement in this kind of colleges .
Why one choose MAT institute rather than UPTU?
Because UPTU institute has wide business area, basically engineering college with other course in same facilities. Management has mainly focused on engineering because of number of seats . These institutes are not mainly focused on MBA.
On other hand MAT institute run usually MBA course only; and their main focus area is MBA . So they plan for placement, MDP, Seminars, student exchange programs etc. They are charging too high. . All institute which used MAT for admissions are not good. Very few are good and worth full.

I am err was a galgotian (passing out has not yet sunk in). I did my engg from there. My belief is do MBA from this type of colleges only if you have no other option. Facilities suck, infrastructure sucks and as far as I know placement also sucks. These college mananged decent enough placement during boomtime only because companies were taking up anything thrown at them and even then MBA placement were not good. God help the batch that will passout this year.

I mentioned in my previous post regarding JSS.
JSS is very good institute of technical education . Around 200% placement record for BE. Regrinding MBA, only two batches have been passed out yet, without impressing placement record.

Most of private management institutes also run PGDBM course along with MBA from UPTU. For PGDBM they use MAT etc test result and fee for these course is around 6 lac to 14 lac . These PGDBM etc course are main source of income for these institutes. They shared infrastructure facilities, faculties etc for both courses .
So before finalize admission, visit target institutes personally, meet students and collect all required information. This information will help you to take decision.
Points to check before admission:

1. Campus placement record
   
2. Faculty profile
   
3. MDP, Seminar, Student exchange programs record
   
4. Institute management profile
   
5. Hostel, Infrastructure and other facilities
   
6. Your personal preferences

There is not major difference between Govt. Institute and private Institutes.
Rank given by UPTU is basis on academics .
Finally what a student need is "Decent campus placement". Do not expect too much from institute in today market scenario.
These institutes don't stand anywhere, if we talk about All India MBA institute ranking.
If Govt. College has lower fee than opt Govt. college.

In my personal opinion, all institutes situated in NOIDA, Ghaziabad and GNoida. are same.

If you check following than it would be easy for you to take decision.

2. Placement history
   
3. Faculty profiles
   
4. MDP, Seminar and Student Exchange Programmes history in that institute
   

Etc


First narrow down your target college list and than visit institute personally, if possible. For last year cutoff percentile, check with existing students and college administration.

I have enquired about JSS, Noida; and outcome is like following.
JSS suppose to be one of the best engineering college with having around 200% placement. For technical education , no doubt it is one of the best private institute on UP. Regarding MBA, only two batches have been passed out.

JSS is considered the best or one of the best private institutions of UP. Most top rankers go in for it. Its ranking could be considered to be interleaved with the govt. counterparts. Seeing the rank in girls' quota, I think u have a good chance.

Does any one have an idea of colleges in UP? There are almost 450 colleges in UP but when it comes to best of them I am clueless. The list of best could be made out from academics, placements, cultures etc.....
