you are absolutely right but these mat colleges are charging such high fees and roi is so low. i had 2 options either to go for ndim ( fees 6+hostel) where placements are very low not just this year but otherwise too and other was to go for uptu colege such as kiet (fees around 2)and then placement ll depend on me as i have talked to kiet mba students there ,they said placements oppurtunities are there but u have to grab it as in the case of other colleges. so m i right ?

KIET: Krishna Institute of Engineering & Technology is same as other engineering college in that region; nothing special about this institute. There is no campus placement in this kind of colleges .
Why one choose MAT institute rather than UPTU?
Because UPTU institute has wide business area, basically engineering college with other course in same facilities. Management has mainly focused on engineering because of number of seats . These institutes are not mainly focused on MBA.
On other hand MAT institute run usually MBA course only; and their main focus area is MBA . So they plan for placement, MDP, Seminars, student exchange programs etc. They are charging too high. . All institute which used MAT for admissions are not good. Very few are good and worth full.
These are my personal opinion.

howz kiet ghaziabad for mba. how are placements there and is their any exposure.
i hav one more question that why students consider mat colleges superior to uptu colleges?

I am wondering how many colleges are there in India for doing MBA?

I know only about 50....

There is not major difference between Govt. Institute and private Institutes.
Rank given by UPTU is basis on academics .
Finally what a student need is "Decent campus placement". Do not expect too much from institute in today market scenario.
These institutes don't stand anywhere, if we talk about All India MBA institute ranking.
If Govt. College has lower fee than opt Govt. college.
