hey ... a bpo work ex may not giv u much of an edge over the non experienced guys ... but it wud really help u during the course of 2 yrs of mba degree n for that matter any work ex wud help ... so it will be treated as valuable by the admissions commitee

with the strong extra curricular .. it further helps u .. coz this is what is looked for up here .. since most of the initiations are upto the students so extra curriculars play a vital role .. u hav good chances ... apply at the earliest .. if u do it say by today n tomo n send thru speed post .... it will ensure successful on time delivery..

Batch size: limited to 60 people which helps in maintainin a good student faculty ratio n results in individualized attention.

Dual Degree: Though v offer dual degree there is flexibility in takin up the subjects (there is no concept of majors n minors here > so there is full independence given to the students wrt what they want to study

Faculty: V dont make claims like most of the faculty has been taken from IIMs simply because they r not but all of them all vastly experienced in their respective domains of teaching n make learnin a great experience at DoMS...

incidently that being the case.. people wud not opt for other options thanhr n schools like xl n symbi ... but that is not the case .. is it?? .. but i m not here to make ne comparisons

moreover as far as placements are concerne the scenaron is very dynamic.. it changes with the trends of the industry .. that what held good last yr .. does not today

n this time around systems has indeed taken a backseat n its mktg n finance that has been glitterin with coz like imrb, tata telcon, tata tinplate, icici, afl n many others...

Well v have been achieving 100% placements last couple of yrs wit decent salary.. then v enjoy the facilities of NIT campus like the Octagon(8MBPS) gym .. pool etc.. well thats abt it...

I have a question for the nit student in this thread.NIT trichy takes 60 students for its mba. And last year there were 6 students with fin specialisation.Only 2 to 3 core finance companys had come and i heard from people in NITT that some among those 6 tried on their own.I would like to kno are the finance placements really good? and would we have some core finance company that take students or is it advisable to choose only mba systems for NIT trichy.And i also heard there may be finance placement in software co but core fin co placement seems to be poor. pls do reply, thank you

the first one bein that i hav applied to similar institutes like BIM, LBISM, XIME etc ..compared to this what do u think are the strengths of DoMS coz these schools r quite well known .. but nobody really gets to hear of DoMS ...

well i mus b soundin real curious to u guys but frankly speakin .. this is my second shot at CAT .. n i dont wanna take ne chances ... plus i m really interested takin admission this yr n dont wanna wait for another yr
