it is a good college, many companies r visiting for placement , great learning environment, nice campus
u hav to develop urself for getting selected, no college provides 100% guaranteed placement. college will help u to sit in front of HR .

u'll get notification in newspaper and check the DTE website regularly

as per last year, there will be 1st and 2nd counseling, and then 3rd counseling will be college level counseling for the seats which will remain vacant after second counseling...

and almost 'No' for second counseling unless u hav a very bright luck..

Yes, there will be registration fee.Previously it was Rs.10,500.
Everything will be online.After seat allotment (online), you'll need to report in the allotted college and complete the formalities like form submission,payment of remaining fee after adjustment of initial fee i.e. Rs.10,000 etc....

my rank is 595 is there any chances for getting prestige indore in finance ?

I have seen websites of both colleges and as far as my knowledge is fees for both is about 30000 per year.
correct me if i am wrong.
Second point is when you say crowd and environment, can you elaborate a bit. :-)
Lastly location and hostel facility wise can you comment on...

After 1st. counseling, there would be a counseling of remaining or cancelled seats which is known as 2nd. counseling.Further there will be 3rd. counseling if seats still remain vacant after 2nd. counseling.Don't remember exactly but I think there is 4th. counseling too.;) Lastly, there will be college level counseling for those seats which remains vacant till last.In the college level counseling, don't expect any seat of good colleges.

IMS accepts DAVV CET and MPMET score.

Chances are less but you might get.
IBMR IPS brings good number of companies but it doesn't guarantee anyone's placement.A student with good skills gets the best job through an open placement.But yes placement offers are good at IBMR.

there is a possibility of counselling taking place from 15th june 2012 onwards. the DTE is fully prepared. rest depends on AICTE. if aicte completes its approval process then counselling is set to start from 15th june.

Well i have read somewhere on pagalguy itself one guy has posted the breakup of seats, out of 120 seats 60 is for Finance and rest 60 is for MM.... That is why I was confused...... Thanx for helping out....

Although comparing is not allowed, but being an IMS student I would like to point out few things which brings some difference
I find minor difference in IMS and IIPS given below:
IIPS Crowd is better
IIPS is not having government college like environment
IIPS is having higher fees si...

Specialization would be opted in 3rd. Sem, so no need to worry about it now.You'll get IMS DAVV for sure.
