I think you would be attending in chennai center, since the interviews has not started here, we cannot say what they will do. but looking at the previous posts, they are seeing all the mark sheets. anyway you call the admission office and inform this, because at the last minute, it may create problem and tense u out before the gdpi.

try to get it too. because they have mentioned that persons without all the marksheets won't be allowed to attend the gdpi. They have also not asked for consolidated mark sheet. Its mandatory to show ur 10th,12th,semester mark sheets, because they are the basic criteria for admission.

Freeze your admission as of now in XISS...In case you make the cut to LIBA, get your money refunded and go for LIBA...Make sure you find out XISS refund policy beforehand..:cheerio:

Already described well enough, no fish market, your summary will be important.

PI:Extremely cool and informal (2 ladies (finance & operations research) and one gentleman) No technical questions at all to anybody.. well at least to me!!

All in all a pleasant and well organized gd/pi experience for everyone.

Here is my experience with LIBA:

XAT %ile : 94.36
GD-PI date : 27th March, 2:30PM at Indian Social Institute, Bangalore

Pre GD:
We have to wait in one conference room where we have to fill one form with our 10th, 12th, graduation, PG and Work-ex(if applicable) details. Also we have to attach all the docs as mentioned in the call letter.

One of the faculty members gave a brief description about LIBA and told about faculty, placements, results etc. Results would come anytime after 4th or 5th as the last interview is in Chennai on 3rd and the need 1-2days to complete the process.

GD:
There were 3faculty members and they acted as GD moderators as well. We were 11 in number and after we entered the GD room, 3 more joined(late). So total of 14 in one group. We were sit in a semi circular order. Process is 2min to think + 12min to discuss + 5min to write summary.

The topic is "India would not mind losing to England, but they do against Pakistan". The topic is a very general one and most of them spoke well. I was waiting for my chance to speak and suddenly the moderator stops the discussion asks the people who did not speak to speak. I took the chance and told my point. One more guy who did not speak, also spoke after me. Then the moderator rang the bell and we started writing the summary.

Points to be noted while writing the summary:
We should not bullet points instead we should write in paragraphs. Second thing is we should write out view but we should write the summary of the GD i.e. whatever discussed in the GD.

PI:
Most of the interviews were of 5-10min duration. The same faculty members were there for PI as well.

Two lady faculty and one male faculty.
L1 : Indira
L2 : Vandana(Finance)
M1 : Did not remember his name(Systems)
Me : Myself

Greetings exchanged
L1 : When did you speak in the GD?(As already told, I spoke only when they gave a chance)
Me : Gave an answer and they started smiling
L2 : Give me the docs
Me : Gave
L2 : Tell me about yourself
Me : Told for about 4-5minutes and stressed more on my interest in HR
M1 : Your sal is XXX, so why do you want to do MBA?
Me : Answered that I want to work in HR and told the reasons related to my choices
M1 : Why LIBA?
Me : Answered
M1 : Any other calls?
Me : Told and gave the reason why I applied to those colleges
L2 : Is the interview over for XXX college?(I answered that I prefer XXX college which offers separate course in HR)
Me : Answered and gave her the preference of colleges I want to join.
L2 : Any questions?
Me : Asked few about HR profiles during placements

That's it. Done in 10min max. By their expressions, I think they are not satisfied as I stressed more on HR and I just kept on talking about job. Anyways that's what I wanted to convey and after 3other interviews, I got a chance to speak about Why HR question. I am pretty much satisfied with my experience.

Regarding the center: It is really difficult to get to the center if you are not familiar with Bangalore. Keep min 1hr of buffer time for any last moment problems. 3people in my slot came late. If you are coming by bus, get down at the stop next to Coles park and ask for Benson Town. There is small confusion between Benson town and Benson road.

P.S.: On another note, there is one guy(Nirmal) who attended XIMB,GIM and now LIBA along with me on the same day in the same slot in Bangalore. I am not sure whether this is an omen to any

Around 15-16 guys were called for this slot, we were divided in to two groups
for gd our topic was "education should be career oriented"....descent topic...evey body chipped in ..even though some points were wage...during gd..at the end it was a descent one...finaly had to summarize the gd in 3-4 mins...
the other group had very khatru topic.."Ethics are inbuilt and cannot be taught"..they had a tough time with this topic......
PI..started mine was very chillled out.......
all the question were on my work ex..
what is kanban
what are diff types of kanban
what is fish bone diagram
what is JIT
is mahindra following JIT
what is six sigma
where gng through my subjects of my engg...picked one subject and asked can u tell me what u sudied in this subj (politely told very diff to rememeber after 3.5 years of leaving college....pannel started laughing and told its very well ok no prob)
and finally will u be comfortable relocating to cheenai.....
over all it was very smooth.....
thats it............
work ex guys..prepare what u do and freshers prepare what u r studying...rest ntg to worry abt ...
the mumbai pannel is chilled out....

Some good points brought up by a few ppl. Many of the points were repeated though. There was a lack of content as there wasn't much to speak on...I cud manage to speak only once as the gd lasted only for about 8-10 min.

-what is the difference between gsm n cdma (grilled on this one, as if i was the one who invented both :P....I even had to draw 2 graphs of cdma n tdma to explain the concepts)

-can u tell me what is the co-relation between the way a message is sent thru routers n that thru social media? (dumbstruck for a second)

1 group got the GD topic as "Creativity is an individual activity, doing it in a group kills individual creativity" Something like that.

The morning (9am) slot had "Is it necessary to monitor World Economics"

Our group topic was "Preserve nature or perish"

No fish market at all. Everybody's convinced about a topic like this. So yes, there were a variety of points brought out. And in between the panel asked those who dint speak to express their views. So you will get a chance to speak. Rest assured.
After the gd we had to "write a summary of the gd", not your opinions, please remember, its a summary of what was discussed in the gd. We just got 2mins, and I had barely written a para :oops:

My PI questions.....

-Why MBA?
-What are the types of databases?
-What is a hierarchical database
-What's referential integrity
-What's an MIS?
-Are u ok wit shifting to Chennai? (To which I replied "No problem at all!!" )

They dint even check my certificates file. It was over in abt 7 mins. (Which does not tell me whether I'm in or out ) Infact even the ones before me got over in about the same time..

Just gotta wait & watch..

There were two batches for GD in 9 AM slot.
GD topic in my baatch was - Nano successful
there were 8 persond in my GD goup. We were given 2-3 minutes to think and then 7-8 minutes to discuss. The content of our GD was good.
After that we had to write the summary of GD and our views about the GD in 4 minutes.
The GD topic in other batch was about Nuclear energy.
PI-
They asked about myself, my background, why mba.
They also asked some uncomfortable questions about my state Bihar which i think should not have been asked. Any way i answerd as my moral was not allowing me to answer.
One penalist was not happy about my GD summary (mainly the quality of written english). He was very upset.
I think i have no chance. Lets hope for the best.

I have my GD PI on 3rd of APRIL.

Hmm...Try and understand my point..What I said is that deciding on the sex ratio falls under college's discretion..We can't help it...but by being competent we can at least fight for a seat..

my interview was on 19th , 11 am batch in delhi.

gd topic - medical tourism is in a fast track in india - a bit offbeat topic and it centred around medical sector in india............a guy had some points and was nt able to cut in, the panelists made us quiet to let him speak which one of us shud have done.

interview - "sweet" is the word that i will use to describe the panelists and how my interview went.


one last question though Can anyone tell whether girls come in minority or they will be eating in our 50% seats for general category.

60 seats are for general category and that applies equally to men and women..It depends on competency, not gender mate...Pretty lame statement you made though..ATB:cheerio:
