it will continue upto june 11. it depends on converts not joinnig and withdrawing at the last moment...

My only motto behind that post was to give message to LIBA aspirants that dont loose your hope if you have lower written score... If you have honestly perform well in GD/ PI, then LIBA do consider your candidature for final selection. I m really thankful to LIBA for offering me admission (Though bcoz of some personal reasons, I will not able to join).

Well my academics are not great at 68.8% aggregate but I will rate my PI performance 10 out of 10. GD was not that good and even I dint get much chances to speak. But PI lasted for around 25 mins and it was the best ever PI.

P.S: I have 28 months of work ex in IT.

Thats good.. you have balanced it... actually LIBA doesn't give that lower cut off as 80 (86), just to select top xat scorers, it will be a normal curve...
I think you are from general category.. I appreciate you coming out and saying that u have low score.

Students don't discuss about specific quota after getting in, hence it is not clear.

Yes, certain banks have tie ups with LIBA, and they offer special rates. The banks will make a presentation after the classes start...

What is the lowest XAT percentile admitted last yr for catholic category?

Let me make it clear. There won't be any list. Converts were mailed in april. Then some people were declared as waitlisted. After that new mails were sent for the seats which were not taken up. The mails were sent to people who were in the waitlist, The last date for fees payment for them is may 19. After that if some seats are left, again mails would be sent to some people from waitlist with a new last date. This process will continue until all seats are filled.

We didnt know the total waitlist count last yr,so cannot tell as a %. Except some 5 to 8, all the people who participated in the waitlist thread converted...

hi just joined the site. got admission and have accepted it. looking forward to studying in chennai. have a couple of questions about the college girls hostel? are any of the converts girls and joining the hostel? if yes when will you'll be arriving? for those seniors who've lived at he girls hostel what was your experience? hows the food? accomodation? facilities? etc. also have we to get our own laptops or will they be provided by the college. if we have to buy them ourselves should we buy it in chennai or mumbai? what should be the specifications? Acer or dell or samsumg?????

Hi Rebecca, I am not a girl but will try to answer ur quries.

1. You will get the girls who are joining the hostel in the FB converts group. Please do join and get ur queries clarified in details.

2.I think the girls should arrive on 9th ie. saturday (some of my friends are arriving on 9th itself) as they have to pay the money going to the bank nearby for hostel booking. Bank is open for half day on saturday so the formalities and room booking can be done I guess.

3. Facilities can only be explained in details by the seniors. AFAIK the rooms for girls are on twin sharing basis. The food is served from Loyola mess and you have the option of choosing from different cusines ie. veg/non-veg/north indian.

4.The laptops are not provided by LIBA. What I suggest is to get laptop from Mumbai as I think it will be a tad cheaper there. Out of the brands u mentioned Dell is the best. But still Dell has a problem with the keyboard longivity. I suggest to go for Lenovo..have been using it for more than a year now.

5. Laptop specification totally depends on your needs. I hope u r not a gamer like me. A decent laptop with i3, 1or2 gb ram and 500 gb HDD is good to go for regular netsurfing and movie watching and powepoint/excel work (each of them is vital for B School life :biggrin:)

Many girls are joining hostel, I heard it would be good... twi sharing.. Yes, you have to buy your own laptop (though it is not compulsory), you can buy any brand, specification and color... make sure it is powerful, since you would have to run some heavy softwares..

I received call yesterday afternoon from LIBA. Got the admit card mail straight away. But as I will not join the course, wait list for general catagory moves by 1.

No idea buddy...Although there are a few people in the facebook converts group...but may be all the converts who have joined are not that regular on the FB group. So the approx number of converts who are joining is tough to guess.

As soon as u convert the waitist give ur resignation and serve the 1.5 mnths notice period. Probably you can miss the orientation programme commencing from 11th june. The actual classes are staring around 20th I think. U can come and join then. But remember missing the orientation classes has its toll ie. u have to work a bit xtra hard so that u can cope up with the regular classes.
