MMS/MBA degree is given by a university.... and PGDM degree is given by a colege,,,,

for example...coleges like SIBM,MIMS etc. are controlled by a deemed universty,,,so one gets MBA degree frm der... colleges offering MMS degrre in mumbai come under mumbai university....

some colleges have started individual courses..wahan par u vl get degree frm college and not from university..dats PGDm/PGDBM..even IIms have PGDM courses..dey dunt ofer an MBA degree..

VA=96%.

my acads:

last year the cutoff for PGDM calls was around 91-82%ile in CAT
also u have prettty good work ex so i think u sud get a call for GDPI
but still keep ur fingers crossed!!!

no, it is not applicable through CATi.e. for PGDBM course...
only through CET for MMS course

Cutoffs for 2008:
Open : 167 (some 99 + Percentile)
Gujarati Quota : 158 (Including Waitlist, 98+ Percentile)
OMS : 175 (Some 99.4 %)
Management : There were no management seats last year. All Management seats were included in Gujarati quota only because of which the cut offs for Gujarati quota was around 98%.

Now everyone, all the best and try and get above 99% and everyone will stand a good chance.

i dont think u will get a call at 78%ile..dont know bout the management quota as they wont discloe it to every1,u will have to personally check it out..last year the OMS cutoff through CET was 175+ (not sure bout that. better check on www.dte.org.in)

the gujju quota cutoff for last year was approx 158-159...the wait list might have gone till 157 i suppose.n in 2007 i think it was 147 or may b 1 or 2 marks less...

there will b CAP rounds for the same...if u r a gujju there will b forms for the same after CET written scores are declared. So till then chill n study for CET.

can u pls tell me when do we apply for the coll after cet? coz 4 the online registration only gmat n cat scores r acceptable

Yeah very strange to see people are voting even though CET is far away.
I think the Poll is not clear. Like someone may think what percentile to target for CET 2009. Some may be thinking of cutoff etc etc.
But I don't think this poll will serve any purpose for puys. As the process is not like what other colleges follow.

can you express in terms of marks out of 200 or 240?

like when i tried previous year paper myslef i attempted all 200 questions (no negative marking) and corrected 140 questions in time limit and i m assuming some 20 marks in GD/PI out of 40 so my total would be around 160 out of 240 marks. is it enough for a call from KJ 4 OMS candidate????

or have i to work more harder please answer as i very deperate to be join good college through CET
