Go for PGDM IT & Marketing rather than Pgdm Ib....but do consider these things in mind before taking admission

BIMM
total strenght - 1000+, Tution fees - 6L, Avg pack - 4L(what i know, not what they show on website), Residential Program - Yes, they can call you for class anytime be it mid night class which is very benificial for ur career and feel bhi aata hai college mein rehne ka :P

JIMS

Total strength - 300 seats(ib - 60), tution fees -4.2L, Avg package(IB) - no info how much and how many placed, Residential Program - No, you have to take a PG somewhere near to college

Decide what you want to do in future and what will benifit you the most....what i think being an engineer PGDM -IT n Mrkt will be best and lemme tell you engineers and IT person gets advantage at any phase of life starting from placement to promotions, choose wisely:) its a life time course and if possible try for a CAT allied college next year, dun waste ur money and time in MAT colleges which you will realize afterwards

Some of the finance companies visiting the campus are deloitte, ernst n young, banks like axis bank, kotak mahindra n Ing vyasya, indiabulls, capital IQ etc... avg package varies.. its near 4.. kotak mahindra had offered 7+ dis year ... it all depends on your level to acheive.. all the best.. you are at the right place

go for bimm anyday if u have to decide b/w pgdm-ib and pgdm-general...pgdm-general is always better in terms of syllabi and placements both...i dont have any data for Pgdm-ib of jims neither any senior has it....
Bimm is good in terms of schedule(if u can adjust, as it is very tight there), faculty, location
but has some dis advantages too as huge batch size - with over 1000+ students, so placement gets affected.....tight schedule which everyone cannot be comfortable with...
so decide urself after weighting the +ves n -ves
but go only for PGDM-general anywhere be it bimm/jims/etc etc

Dear priyank..Do you know that comparison of colleges is not allowed here..But i appreciate you for solving the queries of aspirants here,thanks..
Now for all of those who have raised queries here- No offense to anyone,but All of those who are saying that BIMM is better,let me ask you what are the parameters on the basis of which you have done this comparison??,what is the priority level of the parameters and most imp have you done this comparison or someone else has done this for you??So better dont compare colleges here as every college has its own pros and cons... One can never get good placements if he does not have the required competence level for that particular job..and no college can make you proficient for the placements if you dont want to work hard.
all i want to say dont judge any college on the basis of the placements only,college provides many opportunities and its your responsibility to crack that one and if you can not crack the interview even iim's can't help you there.. Now about salary figures of jims rohini,avg pkg is around 4.75l n highest is 8..Now it depends on you whether you gear up yourself for the 8l figure or for 4.75..you can check the placement records from the website..there you can even check the company name along with the selected student's name and still if you doubt the placements of jims,nobody can help you. There are very few colleges who give such a clear view of placement details.....and infra of the college does not look good but its more than sufficient for running a MBA college...Faculty is good,can you expect that any MAT level college can provide you faculties from FMS OR SRCC??yup,jims rohini does that..I am not saying just go and join jims rohini, if you want to join any college, do full analysis before joining but once you join it never doubt your decision......Now at last jims rohini(sec 5) is a decent choice,rest all depends on what are your expectations and what other options you have..Think,analyze and then take your decision...I think i have solved many queries here,Goodluck..

Priyanka Balaji society has got a intake of 1060...there r 4 colleges of balaji inside the same campus including BIMM...obv u have to fight among 1060 candidates for to b placed at gud firm...so obv its a tough job,,,,,so chill...:)

Dear Rohit, first of all its Priyank not priyanka and secondly im chilled out..somebody asked for a feedback on BIMM and JIMS and i told them what i feel..if someone does not favour jims does not mean that they are not chilled out...so buddy u need to chill out and let healthy discussions take place..this is a forum to share info not to promote one particular college and lash out at other users who do not promote that college :-)

BIMM has centralised placements, which would mean that students would have to compete with their specialisation lot but i guess most of the good companies are doing pool campus(3-4 colleges) across colleges where the avg number of students appearing for a company is almost the same

I respect your will to help others. And I am not a promoter here, I will be joining JIMS hopefully, the update that I have got from current students are avg 4 and highest 10, faculty very good as you said from FMS, infra bad. So, just to those who were unable to crack CAT can go for this college.

"Angrej chale gaye angreji chood gaye"....rahi mere eng ki baat wo to rehne hi do....i think you are the student of jims...you know one thing when i gave the interview the interviewers applauded and appreciated my body language and ya english speking and accent...well you are a senior so i respect your comments and being a senior you havent got any rights to speak any bulls*** over here especially about personal things....leave my english skills i will take care of it...come to the point on which we are discussing ....ypu are telling people should have "flair and spark" to crack any interview....i completely agree....i have aquestion as people claim its best college y jims doesnt take students pertaining flair nd spark???if yes why students getting just 12k as if a student is applying for a job after his 12th standard....if this is really the standard then you seniors have no right to pass on wrong info .... in cat allied colleges those students only take admissions who have that caliber and they get salary atleast not at this range....

I agree with your points and logic but still 12K is very low, even if 2-3 students got it.

Till now I never had any doubt on JIMS Rohini being the top MAT B-school in Delhi NCR. But now I would like to have more details on this allegation.

I can't believe this!!! What ever the situation, even if few students have got this package and they took it then it is really very bad. Two years is a decent time for a good b-school, where intake quality is good, to groom students for much higher aspirations and capabilities.

If JIMS is not being able to do it even for few students then they have to introspect and take corrective action.
