Congratulations - You are eligible to apply for the PGDM Program.

Prospectus and application forms are available at Rohini (Delhi) Campus on payment of Rs. 1000/- in cash or through Demand Draft in favour of Jagan Institute of Management Studies payable at Delhi. Youcan opt for more than one program in the same application form with no additional cost.

So i guess finance students not only sacrificed the salary but also the profile .. which makes a really bad impression bout the college ...

yes i agree this year its not so good in terms of placements specially for finance students but dude you are wrong on the packages being offered, if you have any link in college and providing you with such an info then contact some more seniors too....regarding the packages in finance highest being in the range of 6-7Lakhs by IDBI bank and many more banks n co's offered packages in range 4-5L...
I agree that many students are placed b/w 3-4L but thats in every college, this year packages have dropped alot and even getting offers were difficult but jims has done well in that part... regarding profiles being offered, if you are aware that 1st a person joins as a Management trainee for 6-12 months and this is the reason for low packages at start, finance students have been offered finance profiles and marketing students offered marketing profiles - no sacrifice on that part if you are good enough to grab that....
no one is asking to join or not here, its your call...if you think college is good enough and is satisfying your needs then join it else find a better college...

Bro, every MAT colleges struggled this time for Finance placements hope you know that, colleges like NL Dalmia known for finance also having hard time to place finance guys. In economic downtime it's the finance sector which struggles the most, so not a big issue for the college.

Even Indian govt. is saying that every country is having a low gdp, high inflation, currency downtrend so India is not an exception, so how can we blame JIMS which is just a MAT college at the end of the day

The placements for PGDM IB have been good. Companies like Grail Research, CM Logistics, Deloitte, Practo Technology, Zaro Ecucation, Om Logistics, Safe Express, E&Y;, Kuehne Nagel, etc came for final recruitments

Go for PGDM IT & Marketing rather than Pgdm Ib....but do consider these things in mind before taking admission

BIMM
total strenght - 1000+, Tution fees - 6L, Avg pack - 4L(what i know, not what they show on website), Residential Program - Yes, they can call you for class anytime be it mid night class which is very benificial for ur career and feel bhi aata hai college mein rehne ka :P

Total strength - 300 seats(ib - 60), tution fees -4.2L, Avg package(IB) - no info how much and how many placed, Residential Program - No, you have to take a PG somewhere near to college

Decide what you want to do in future and what will benifit you the most....what i think being an engineer PGDM -IT n Mrkt will be best and lemme tell you engineers and IT person gets advantage at any phase of life starting from placement to promotions, choose wisely:) its a life time course and if possible try for a CAT allied college next year, dun waste ur money and time in MAT colleges which you will realize afterwards

Some of the finance companies visiting the campus are deloitte, ernst n young, banks like axis bank, kotak mahindra n Ing vyasya, indiabulls, capital IQ etc... avg package varies.. its near 4.. kotak mahindra had offered 7+ dis year ... it all depends on your level to acheive.. all the best.. you are at the right place
