Waise I had a long talk with Nakul and I'm WITH u guys in lookin for the accomodation. I have already confirmed to Nakul that I will be staying with him in a rented accomodation. Also, she said that we can ask some one else to collect the hostel form on our behalf and submit it as well along with an attested copy of the allotment letter !! I also happened to meet 1 more guy from Chattisgarh who is also reporting on 7th and 1 more who will be reachin Mumbai on 4th !!

I just hope that they stick to their statement (the JB ppl) and my boss lets me go by 6th ..he he :)

Also, I will call up Rishi and ask him abt this community thing... I'm sure that can also be done whenever I (and other late comers) join !!

So reporting on 1st August seems an IMP thing now... this is wat our senior RISHI told me

"Hi. I am Rishi. I am a student of MMS II at Bajaj (ur senior). This is to inform you that you will be required to fill a profile form on your first day at Bajaj (1st August as of now). This form will be used for committee work. So i request you to carry a passport size photograph with you on your first day (whenever it is). Please do not forget to carry the photograph. The form is very important. Also, Please inform all your batchmates whoever are in cantact with you. Please post it on paagalguy as well if you can. For any Queries you can contact me at XXXXXX (the number is there at Orkut Community). Looking forward to meet you. Rishi"

just came to hear that the DD has to be from a nationalised bank .... could not find any such thing in the notice board .. it only says the DD must be payable at Mumbai.
nyone out there who had made a DD from a non-nationalized bank ... plz share ur experience?? ??:

Nope, the CET Score Card is the 1 that u'll get by post.
And the Allotment letter is the 1 that is there on the site which displays ur score and the alloted institute.

Here is the NOTICE on the DTE SITE:-

Notice to institutes : The score cards are dispatched late on 20th Jul 2006. Hence some of the candidate could not receive the score card till date, such candidate should be admitted provionally in the alloted institute on the basis of above details. The Original score card is to be submitted by the candidate within eight days. The score has to be verified from the Official websites -

My state rank is 54 (Mumbai Univ..open) and the last rank to get in JB in this category is 44..do I stand any chance for admission against cancellations? I know this is not possible....last yr there was only one cancellation and that was immedialtely filled up by the next rank itself(47)...i have 10 ranks difference which is way too far...I am still asking this because if you think I have even the slightest bit of chance I may need to inform my company about this situation...in which case i would be resigning the company immediately without any notice. Please advise

I only have the online allotment as proof of getting JB.

Congrats to all who have secured JB, PUMBA and Sydenham. Out of these, PUMBA and JBIMS are definitely in our regular recruitment focus. Its wonderful to see some good students in these 2 B-Schools and makes us come more here looking for talent other than NMIMS and SPJain (I guess destination Sunil and acadfunda have rocked PG). I would really encourage students to take up HR as HR is where the real crux as a function in the organization exists. I am an engineer with HR and feel very advantageous being in the recruitment industry. Keep the spirit rolling and competition burning. ATB to all

However i cldnt pay up as i had some other problems...will be paying on 28th

a 4 page form....easy n simple... staple ur sttested copies...hand it over .... easy n quick i must say!!!!!

yes i too think that classes will start from 08 th july after verification of the documents ....so me too will go on tht day ....

had been to JBIMS today...... thr were many who paid up the fees
the female who was collecting the certis(attested and orginal also) and form (a 4 page form containing personal information) said tht the college starts on 1st august
now do not know wether thts an authentic source...but she definitely said so
so pls think before leaving on 5th or 8th !!!!!

also for paying the fees..saturday is half day only upto 1:30 i guess and sunday is holiday..so avaoid going on these 2 days!!!!!!

has anyone who has paid the fees today submitted a gap certificate.

i am asking this coz certain colleges like somaiya/welingkar insist students fill it up on an affidavit of Rs.100 .
stating that during the time between completion of graduation and start of MBA (for eg,2003/04 and 2006) the person has not taken admission in any other institute in india
and has been working with some company/preparing for exams etc...

plzz reply as i intend to go tmrw to pay the fees.

ICICI,UTI,HDFC are private banks.There are 14 nationalised bank like SBI, Bank of india, PNB, BOB, etc.
But y dont they accept the DDs that are payable at mumbai. I could uniderstand the logic if a coll placed at a remote destination asks for the nationalised bank. But in Mumbai, every damn bank has a direct branch or a payment arrangement. :neutral:
Anyways, cant explain their demands with logic. I paying up in cash only, that cant be a hassle in any case

I am eporting @JBIMS on 27th (i.e. tomm) at 1100 hrs. I hope a lot of guys wld be turning up tomm.
