Hi,
I'm DGEN and i got 117 rank in IPU-MBA CET 2012.
I'm confused whether should I opt USMS or MAIT.
Any help or suggestion will be highly appreciated.

i have scored 372 rank in ip cet can anybody plz tell me that this rank can fetch me admission in usms(main campus of ip)?

no current affairs..they put questions on your graduation course mainly,,they asked me questions on technical knowledge of computers ..and also they asked me twice my highest achievement in life..whats my talent etc ..thats all..dont worry.. interview was of 15-20 minutes depending upon how you answer..

Questions can be of any type. I was asked on my academics of graduation, why mba, on my job profile, technology questions, fav corporate leader and why do you follow him as a role model, difference between leader and manager and so many other questions I'm not able to recall some. Total duration for the entire interview could stretch till 20 minutes.

No issue on not going to registration desk for collecting and answering those behavioral questionnaire. Signed at 2 places is okay. Wait for the merit list now. Best of luck!!

bro i have also appeared for the interview today but i have given only profile sheet and interview,,signed at both places but i forgot to go to registration desk for that 70-80 tick mark questions sheet...is there any issue ??

no good college.

It is not a group interview. Although 4 students go at a time, only 1 goes in and 3 wait outside the room, then next 1 goes in after interview of previous student is over.

Almost all the students carried their documents along with Admit Card, but documents were not looked nor demanded. These have to be carried only on counseling or final admission day. Firstly, you are sent to a room, given a profile sheet to fill with two questions in it to be answered in blanks provided. Ques 1. Which subjects you scored worst and why? Ques 2. Your coworker is involved in dishonest activities in your office. What would you do? Then, according to candidates' roll numbers, few students from beginning and few from last are sent in bunch of 4 to different rooms per se Room 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 for personal interview with their profile sheets filled in. Total panel numbers in a room is 2. They ask questions on your graduation course and subjects. If you are working, questions on your job area. If your are an engineer, be ready to be asked technical questions. If commerce, trade and business questions. "Why MBA" was almost common to everybody. After your interview is over, you are sent to registration desk again to pick up a questionnaire containing tick mark behavioral questions, 70-80 in numbers. 1. It all depends on YOUR DEFINITION of good and what u want from a B School. Package and placement isnt much. i would suggest you to contact the currrent students for figures.
2. My suggestion for you is to try again next year. i dont think one should leave his job for mba at ip.

could u tell me current placement stats of MBA (2008-2010 batch at IP main campus USMS)...whats the minimum, average and maximum salary offered in this year at USMS (IP main campus)....i heard that in this year placements are worst..and the average package is just 2.4 L p.a. ...only 30 students got placement....IS IT TRUE ............plzz reply me..Thanks in advance.

It means ip university is not good for MBA???

If u want a degree, its good enough.
If u want somethin like placements, its not.
You might get some opportunites too but not worth your two years.
Thats what i think.
People from IPU may have different views.
What i suggest you to go to websites of these colleges and look for students profile/placement brochure. you wil find students email id there. get in touch with them.

not only placements. there are other factors too... facilities,faculty,alumni etc,,. pick any of these.. ggsipu isnt anywhere on indian map

If u want a govt university degree without spending large money, this is the place to be.

Don't know what's your criteria to determine the best colleges, but the top colleges of ip aren't getting good placement offers, so before choosing your college just make sure to visit the campus and ask the seniors there...and do keep us updated..:grin:

M not studying in IPU.
last yr mba placement condn was v bad in IPU. even usms/mait which r so called best doesnt give good placement. most remain unplaced..

ayushij u must attend the 2nd councelling .. ive taken adm in MAIT . there were 60 seats earlier n nw its nws that 60 more are added making a total of 120 seats for batch 2011-2013. So u can try fr ths col as well. n yes , there r chances of u getting other coll as well.

Please ask him to share the placement report. AFAIK the placement scene was very very bad last year.

One of my friend is studying in USMS.. According to him around 50% of the students applied for placement.. His batch's 21 students of his batch have already got placed (out of 35 applied).. Highest package is currently 5.5 Lakh and lowest being 3.2 Lakh..

Faculty of USMS is average... There was 100% placement last year (students who applied)..
