i mean in my case i dint wanted to join any other institute in mumbai barring the top 4-5 (JBIMS, SIMSREE, KJ and WE). getting admission into all the other institutes other than the mentioned ones wer not making any logical sense to me. so i thought to myself that indira is a pretty decent option and being with my family here in pune i can keep a check on my expenses as well. Hence chetna and MET dont even feature in my option list.
I havent done much of a research on MET and chetna but i am pretty much sure that they all lie in the same cluster. Assuming that you are a mumbaikar, you can set ur own preferences inview of taking the advantage of ur strategic location and obviously the expenses you can bear.

i have talked to quite a few seniors on campus and every one of them emphasized on the importance of CDP. its conducted by Mr. Rohit Singh. infact some people told me that CDP kindaa gives an edge to indira over PUMBA.
Dont consider that i m marketing CDP by any means here.
but it has helped many of the students to bag good offers. but let me warn you that taking CDP is not an easy job. u will have to stretch urself if you want to reap the benefits out of it.

Yes Ops mgmt is offered by indira. But since ours is d 1st batch for ops. So no data available for recruiters. However placement for ops would be good b'cos. if u consider the summer placement for these guys it was pretty good. Had lot of Good options to choose from.
E.g TACO, Cadbury n many more etc.

The highest placement bagger got it on his own. i mean its kinda external not from the college. Plus he has a very good workex.

Regarding Finance placements till d time we were in college it was by E-clerx with 7.7 L. And the company selected 3 candidates.

IIMP is the flagship campus of IGI...The other campuses are ISBS,ICEM,IDEA...ISBS campus offers the pgdm course, IIMP offers various autonomous courses like MPM,MMM...This year cut offs should rise by 10-15 marks in each list(cet cut-offs)...
Please check the link MBA/MMS CAP Allotment List to get an idea of last year's cut offs for various colleges (please refer to the SML ranks to get the right idea).
You can expect an average salary of arnd 3lac. Summers are pretty decent at IIMP. We had companies lik LG,TACO,Pantaloons,ATLAS Copco, Uninor,TCS,Accenture,Cadbury,Nvidia,Bank of Baroda, HDFC,Kotak Securities etc...
There is one hostel for d girls which is in the campus itself. There are around 3 hostels for the boys. You can also stay on rent with some of the seniors or make a group amongst you'l. The average rent for a 1bhk is 6-8k,2bhk is 10k,3bhk is 12-15k, the deposit varies from 35-50k.
In case no furniture is provided, you can get all furniture on rent with a 50% refund on return of the furniture.
Mess facilities are provided for hostelites, non hostelites can also avail the facilty if they want.

Incase you'l want to stay on rent, form your groups or contact the seniors as soon as admissions r done. We will help you to the best v can...

sorry to say this but among all the forums "running" on pagalguy, i have found this particular forum of indira to be the "dullest". :-(
the questions asked on this forum mostly just fly by unnoticed. I understand that the seniors might be busy with some other activities but the same is the case with other college alumni as well. then also they take out some time from their busy schedule and pitch in their valuable inputs in here.

I am stressing on this question because i am planning to take CFA Level-1 in June 2011... But i wanted to know if it is possible to manage CFA studies along with MBA from IIMP.... coz i heard IIMP keeps you busy... and as u said,,,, sunday might b working as wel....

So basically it is important for me to know if there are seniors studying for CFA in IIMP as it will be better for me from point of view of managing time and getting guidence and notes.....

Yup placements are centralised once you get in indira it doesnt matter which college you are from. All d interviews take place in IIMP campus.


Students are graded as A,B an C on various parameters such past academics, weekly current affairs and aptitude tests.ad the goes on n on.......so ATB tc

Regarding Hostel Facilities gals hostel is inside the campus only n its good. a lot secure....

Well Vrundan.....Y dont u look for renting a flat around there somewhere....Cos i dnt think taking hostel is such a good idea.....n for guys there are 2 hostels 1 is called akshar wch is behind d iimp campus n d other 1 is a bit far from d campus towards wakad police stn. n i would personally suggest not ot take hostel facilities cos i stayed there.
Wat u can do is once admission process starts try contacting ppl fm mumbai who hv taken admission in d college n search for flats. keep in touch we might be able to give u some agents no.s in case possible.

my home(pune) university ranking is 377 while for state is 2796....do i have chance to get in and in probabilities which round......btw , many are saying sml rankings have gone higher bcoz students from other hu have scored more..so for pune uni.....it wont make a lot of difff....what say???

only seniors can quote the exact figures in reply to ur query. :-(
but i guess they are busy in their internship or something and hence any kind of response from them is expected to be delayed. so hold on to ur doubts mate.:)
as far as official figures are concerned u can always have a look at the mandatory disclosure form (if at all provided) at the college website.
