sorry for spamming but thats highly personal choice.And ranchi and rohtak have already completed 1st year on a good note so many see iim tag and perceived iift as sector specific.people had dropped nitie for iim r last year.

and do they send letters to all in the waiting list or the top few. i mean is there a chance i could be in the first waiting list and would not have got the call for being at the fag end.

Akhilesh, As mentioned above their is no particular date on which the 2nd list will come out...25th was the last day to send in the fees...so as per my understanding the admission dept will take 2-3 more days... I guess you can contact them directly after 2-3 days..

Also In case you make it to the IIFT from the waitlist...you will receive a email and a snail mail...rest assured on that front...last year IIFT guys were so particular that I received same letters twice...

People aware of the placements in IIFT, can you shed some light on how freshers perform at the placements every year? What was the highest package for a fresher last year? What is the average package for them every year?

I just received an email regarding my kolkata waitlist. I had got the letter by post and had sent the dd as well. but the email subject says 'kolkata wailist reminder'! does that mean my dd has not reached IIFT? has ne1 else received such email. Actually I'm worried coz I sent the dd on address of iift not to admissions office iift. but I enclosed a letter to admissions office.
can sth be done now seniors n aspirants plz reply!

one more waitlist will be coming after 15th may (as told by admin office), there may be more waitlist after that depending on how many candidates withdraw...

What do we need to send other than the DD? Do we need a letter giving our details or something? If yes, then please tell what details.
