there is no waitlist for delhi campus as such...candidates who have final convert for IIFT Kolkata are by default in the waitlist for Delhi campus, means if anyone from Delhi campus withdraws then the offer for that seat will go to IIFT Kolkata candidate

Your chance of making it to the Delhi Campus will depend on the number of alternate calls people are having in the current Delhi & Kolkata list.

Also regarding your other questions are concerned, all of them have already been answered many times earlier. So please take some pains and go through the previous pages and you will find answers to your queries.

1. till mid-june u wud know whether u can get delhi or not
2. last w/l(as far as I know) was 33-34 who got delhi from Kolkata w/l
3. U won't get the money back if u get Kolkata campus.

Now do I need to send the annexures along with the DD of 10000?? or just the DD ? Seniors please reply as medical and all would need a day and I am working :(

since you are shortlisted for the Kolkata Campus, you are automatically in the waitlist for the Delhi Campus.. the other (Rs.10,000) option is for those students who are not interested in the Kolkata campus at all.. i.e. they want to be in Delhi only.... so i really dont know wht your choice would be...

if Kolkata's ok with you, then submit all the docs and the full fees...u are already in the waitlist and if there is enuf movement, then u will be moved to the Delhi campus..

but incase you are interested only in the Delhi campus, you will have to submit the Rs.10,000 DD... i do not think you will have to submit the docs rite now.. if you make it to the Delhi campus, then i guess u will receive another letter asking you to submit all the necessary docs and the remaining fees as well.. btw..confirm this part with the admin once before goin ahead with this..

Since there was nothing mentioned in the letter that u received, i dont think u need to send any docs along... i believe, once ur seat gets confirmed, u will be asked to pay the rest of the amount and send the docs at that time..

Hostel fee is around 35k and food bills amount to close to 2k per month (payable monthly) in the mess upto last year, although availing of mess option is not compulsory !

I called today and 'm WL-32. I just went thru last yr's thread and last yr, WL-34/33 got into IIFT D and wl-58 was the final WL-1 for iift D. All the ppl from first waitlist (which is current waitlist) made it to kolkata campus So we all r surely in IIFT :YO

that guy was talking about the 1st waitlist... do not lose hope... u can expect another waitlist for sure... (another 2 hopefully!!!).. just hope for the best!!! keep your fingers crossed!!

any value will do... try 10... if it aint available, then try 20..... it's just an anti-ragging affidavit....wont be much of a problem...

coming to error in the docs... that is hardly a possibility... most of the matter is given in the annexures.. so..just enter your name and other required details carefully...

this is possibly the last time you will be filling out a form for an institute... so might as well do it slowly and carefully....

considering that there isn't any important info that they're asking for, i don't think there will be a problem if there are minor errors as such.. (the only place where u can go wrong is the Student Details form and that really doesn't contain any vital info as such.. just names, roll no. and addresses)... so no need to worry.. but just be careful while filling the form!!!

yup...thts correct...fill annexure 1 with all the necessary info and get 2 3 and 4 typed/written on letterhead and stamp papers...

and yea... u can leave that blank.... or u cud jus write "n/a"(not applicable) next it it..

AFAIK, you aren't missing anything... going by the checklist given in the offer letter (im pretty sure that its the same one as last year!!), these are the things that u need to send to IIFT..

Im asking cos someone in the forum was wondering if a handwritten medical certificate will do? Y handwritten when the medical certificate annexure is already present?

The affidavits (annexures 3 and 4) need to typed out on a stamp paper!!! the annexure given is a jus a format!!!! and regarding the medical certificate, it is mentioned in the offer letter that u need to get it done on the med practitioner's letterhead.. tht's why people were talking abt it being handwritten..

3) I need to produce the bachelor's degree only at the time of joining college right?

Yes, that is true... u do not have to submit anything rite now... not even the Provisional Degree Certificate... but have all the docs ready by the joining date!!!

4) the acceptance letter is the first sheet before the annexures in the offer letter right? That needs to be filled and sent along with the DD and other docs right?

Yes, correct again.. it is the 1st sheet before the annexures!! it has 2 parts:

1. The acceptance letter
   
2. The Acknowledgement

the original list released includes a few buffer calls as well.. so we really dunno the exact number of seats this year... last year 224 and 65 were called initially (Delhi and Kolkata respectively).. this year, the number has indeed gone up 236 and 80... so yea..u can expect a slight increase in the umber of seats...

Hostel fees @ Delhi was Rs.35000 per year!!! Some1 from Delhi will be able to confirm the amount for food...Tuition fees includes the course material... books and reading material will be provided by the institute....

EDUCATION LOAN -- sorry if this has been asked before as well.. but need some clarification..--

to take loan for IIFT.. should I take the loan at IIFT Delhi ONLY..
or can i take loan from hyderabad n pay those DD or Cash in Delhi Campus..

also please help me whether we need to take loan ONLY from SBI banks ??.. or any other Nationalised banks from my hometown ??
assuming that the Interest rate is more-or-less the same.. n repayment time is also the same..

If you are one of the students in the Kolkata campus list, then this is your waitlist number for the Delhi campus.... if you are not in either of the original lists released by IIFT but got a mail saying that you are waitlisted for the Kolkata campus, then this is the wailist number for the Kolkata campus..

as and when the some1 from the Delhi lsit withdraws, people from Kolkata list will move to Delhi (based on merit) and people from the waitlist will move to kolkata.... there is no separate waitlist for the Delhi campus.. the Kolkata campus list by default is the waitlist for the Delhi campus...

now regarding your chances.. if you are in the Kolkata merit list, then yea.. u do have a really good chance of making it to Delhi.. but if you are in the waitlist, then cant really say...if you do make it, then i guess u'll be one of the last few to make to Delhi...

I'm selected for kolkatta. But my preference when i filled the application was delhi. The form says i have to relinquish my kolkatta seat and send a dd of 10k to get wait listed for delhi. Is dat the only way?
Does it mean that to get into delhi, i have to leave kolkatta and there is no other way? I'm under obc reservation so scope is kinda less in this scenario.. Can anyone pls advice on this?

it isnt necessary to relinquish ur Kolkata seat to be considered for the Delhi campus... that is an option for those students who do not wish to be considered for the Kolkata campus at all.... those guys can give up their Kolkata seat, pay up Rs. 10,000 and be considered for the Delhi as per their merit (i.e. they will retain their waitlist number based on their merit position in the actual list)..people who pay the full fees and accept the Kolkata offer are automatically in the waitlist for Delhi!!! as i mentioned before, there is no separate waitlist for Delhi.. the Kolkata list is the wailist for Delhi!!
