This is for all the junta waiting for the Wait List()..I had a wrd with a kind lady in IIFT and she told me that 100 people have been send a letter mentioning tht they are WL for K and on monday the second group of candidates would be send the same letter and also u guys can call on ask them to check whether your name is there or not...till then just gotta wait and wait....

It is mentioned that we need to get it signed by the Oath commisioner. Who will be this Oath commisioner....
Can this be done after we go to the IIFT.....

Seniors I have a doubt..I am interested in IB and trade and not very much in fin or IT...the electives in trade are very less.
I saw international business negotiation and Mergers and acquisition as electives in our curriculum.
Will we be allowed to take these electives or electives are taken based on the number of the students who prefer it?
For example if only 5 students prefer an elective then what would be the scenario?

Received the waitlist letter from IIFT on Saturay the 9th...

I called them today and after a lot of calls.. finally got to know that I am waitlisted at 67 for Kolkata..

Seniors.. what are they chances of a KOL convert.. and is Delhi possible at all ??

I got a courier from IIFT today stating that I've been put in the waiting list for IIFT Kolkata campus. They have asked to send a DD latst by 23rd April and after admission gets over on 25th April, waitlist will move if there is vacancy. Can anybody tell me what's the procedure to send the DD? I mean, do we have to send just the DD, write something on its back or do we need to send some other documents along with it?

And my other queries are:
1. What was hostel and mess fess for last year i.e for Delhi campus?
2. Are we allowed to keep our 2-wheelers in the campus(Delhi)?

Generally I've heard that a portion of the amount is deducted while refunding and the cut amount increases with time.. So any such timelines to be aware of while requesting for a refund??

i am not totally sure but i guess if u wish to cancel your admission post submission of DD, then u'll need to send a letter to the admin stating that you are no longer interested and that you wish to withdraw.... u will get a refund ASAP.... i think they'll send you a DD with the refund amount... shouldn't take much time... but check up with the office anyways..

2. and yes... u can keep vehicles... saw a lot of vehicles when i was thr...so im sure u can keep vehicles...

yes..this has happened before... people who have been waitlisted for Kolkata are now in the Delhi campus...



yes..u can have it from HDFC bank!!!! it needs to be drawn in favour of "Indian Institute of Foreign Trade" payable at New Delhi (applies to all candidates irrespective of whether Delhi or Kolkata campus)... doesn't matter which bank!!!

from the 2nd trimester onwards, people who will be in the Kolkata Campus shud get a DD in favour of "Indian Institute of Foreign Trade" payable at Kolkata but for the 1st installment, it's the same for everyone!!!

well international package has always been from olam with the break-up as 60k plus 90k totalling 150k (it is their standard package) also fees has been increased almost everywhere
plus u shud take into account companies that came for placements for the first time here and that also good companies, the list increased to 70+ companies with big names like duestche bank coming in to picture.

1) The annexure 4, which is an affidavit from the parents about their child not doing any ragging, asks for addmission/enrollment no. after admission at IIFT. What do we fill there??
2) Does the medical certificate need to be typed or hand-written will suffice?
I ask this because it has to be done under the doctor's letterhead.

1. as it says full name with admission/registration/enrolment number, you can use your IIFT entrance exam roll number....
   
2. i believe you guys have been given an annexure which shows what a med certi shud have... i dont think there shud be any problem with the handwritten copy ... i know this wud be very tuf unless u kno the doc very well but try to get it printed or typed... it jus looks neat...thats all... shudn't be a problem if it's handwritten!!!
   

@seniors, I had the following queries:-
1.Are the Kolkata and delhi campus selections the same? Are there any companies which takes only Delhi students?
2.Also the highest pkg given by OLAM, did it take some students from Kolkata also?
3. I heard somewhere that now IIFT:-K have moved to their own campus. does the campus have hostels also?
Sorry to bother the seniors with my queries but I this is the only place where I can clarify my doubts.

who exactly is an oath commissioner?? will a notary do?? and i believe it should be on a stamp paper so what needs to be the value of the stamp paper?
