I understand from some of the posts that 2nd and 3rd waitlists are also released, if need be..

sorry dude,....there is no waitlist in reserved category....either you are in or out...given that we get such a low cutoff...its like asking too much if we expect a waitlist in reserved category....

Kolkata convert means you have good chances of converting Delhi ultimately. For knowing your rank in Kolkata list, contact the admin

I was going through last year's posts, & got to know there were 2 WLists(though not officially declared) & even after that people were being called for IIFT K http://www.pagalguy.com/forum/other-exams-xat-iift-irma/63995-iift-batch-of-2011-2013-a-97.html

But again won't give you any false hopes, Criteria have changed this year & similar colleges which focused mostly on aptitude scores like FMS have discontinued there exam, so would just say fingers crossed.
All we can do is to track the WL movement in a Spreadsheet till this long wait until June/July.

Btw Me too in similar boat.
Hoping for the best but started to work on a backup now :(

HI Rohan...IIFT doesnt differentiate between its Delhi and Kolkata campus...both are kept at par...and as far as the WL movement is concerned, ur chances of getting into the Delhi campuses depends on ur peer group and the number of multiple offers they are carrying...would be tough to speculate on ur chances for the Delhi campus...but I hope u get through...keep ur fingers crossed...Good Luck...

What are the chances for IIFT delhi campus convert at WL 92!!
For last year : 236 + 80 + 38 ~ 350 people converted Delhi.
This year : 192 + 66 + ?

The Kolkata list is the Delhi waitlist, i.e. as 1 candidate from the Delhi list moves out, person with rank #1 in Kolkata list moves to delhi and W/L#1 moves to the Kolkata list.
The W/L is a consolidated one and no separate W/L is released for Delhi or Kolkata.Hope this clears some doubts

For all those people who are asking for their chances of conversion of waitlist-
This is the first time that a waitlist has been released separately with the merit lists. Last year in the merit list there were 236 people in Delhi and 80 in Kolkata and around WL#38 converted Delhi, which means around rank till 350 converted Delhi.
This year with 192 people in Delhi and 66 in Kolkata, you can easily estimate your chances.

The total strength of Delhi campus is 152 while that of the Kolkata campus is 60. This is as per last year and will most probably remain the same. In fact some buffer calls are always given. But inspite of the buffer calls, depending on your position in the w/l, you can have good chances of converting either of the 2 campusses.

But my parents are really interested in the Delhi campus, as I am only 10-20 mins away from there. Is there any chance for me to upgrade to Delhi campus later on?
I dont mind paying the fees and settling to Kolkata, but this will releive my parent's anxiety :)

As per last year's trend, you can be quite sure of converting Delhi ultimately. But for that, you have to submit the fees within the first deadline when the same is intimated to you by the admissions office
