Did anybody else get any mail regarding the interview dates/Centers? Jan 31 is too close man. Need to start preparing right away. being my first CAT, have no clue as to what happens. It will take a lot of doing if I am to convert any calls..

GOT 21.84 MARKS. NY CHANCE OF GETTING NY GOOD COLG WITH THIS SCORE. LIKE Gitam School of International Business, Visakhapatnam ETC. :(

By when can we expect communication on next steps?

Usually when do IIFT GDPIs happen?

Just checked my QA and DI scores... I got 1.33 less in both than what I was expecting, which means I might have marked one answer wrongly in the OMR and put the correct answer on the question paper. But I dunno how that happened... Can we get answer sheet rechecked.. Though I got a call but still marks do make a difference.

Also, in the answer key published by IIFT, answers to three questions (Qs. 32, 33 and 37) in VA are wrong. Though you have corrected the OMRs with the right answer. I calculated my marks with both the published key and with what ought to be the right answer.

had some queries while filling in the CV form. Can you please help to sort them out :

1) Is it ok if we leave a question completely blank. For e.g. I don't have anything to write for extra-curricular activities during school. So, is it fine if i leave that question as blank ?

2) for the question - describe one/two incidents in your life that radically changed your approach/outlook to life , i just cud not think of any incident that has ever happened that has changed my life ... all i can remember in this context is having watched a movie after which i started speaking truth !!! ( yes, even i laugh on myself for this :biggrin:) ... so is it fine, if i mention this funny truth of mine ?

3) Regarding the question on changes in family structure, here again, there is nothing much to write since there were no changes in my family structure ever since i was born ! Just a guess here, are they asking about change of role in the family as in, becoming more responsible since now a grown - up, etc.etc ??

4) Lastly, in the any other information section, can somebody please specify what all can be written ?

(1)As far as the extra-curricular is concerned, there has got to be sumthing dat u probably njoyed doing apart from ur studies...try figuring it out...it isnt a bad thing to leave the question blank if u fail to find any answer but that mite project u to be a monotonous person...but in any case u need to justify dat to the interview panel..

(2) Being truthful is a great habit... but alas, the cause of ur truthfulness as mentioned doesnt seem to be appropriate for the situation...the changes that the questionnaire talks abt, mite be major changes....thr cud be things dat happened in ur life dat made u look into things differently...capture those moments

(3)As far as the family structure is concerned, u can mention things like changes in roles and responsibilities...for more details, visit the previous posts...it has been discussed earlier...

You can go thru the IIFT section to get more cues...

IIFT doesnt provide any specialization in IT and Systems....but from the first trisem itself, u wud hv courses in IT Systems and its applications...we r in our 3rd trisem presently and hv already completed a couple of courses in IT applications till date...

You have to stay within the stipulated word limits and I guess the space given is enough for each of the question. Try and manage in the given space only. You can attach a separate sheet for the last question if you want.

If you post it on or before 10th, they will most probably accept it even if it gets delayed by a day. But try to complete it and send it by 9th to be on the safer side.

and have carried up 1/2 things as time permits
is it okay if u come out as a person who has nt been too passionate about his interests but followed them a little or it does nt convey a positive image,,

I too have a pretty similar situation. Not been very active in my college life. But one thing i have realized in the process of filling the form is, that there is no perfect answer. And instead of trying to judge how would our answers influence the panels' minds , i think its more about how well we are able to defend what we have written. So if you think those interests of yours are significant, and you might be able to convey your passion incase asked , then you are safe to write, else avoid. I was not very sure, so i haven't included that in my form.

Nothing unless you wish to change your Interview centre for which You have to send an application requesting for the same.

Retain a photostat of CV form for your reference

Try writing the same in a descriptive way...I ve done the same..dunno if i'm right or not...but I guess IIFT guys would want to know hw u understood the question... i feel that ur interpretation is what matters ...hope i helped..or atleast hope i didnt confuse u even further..ATB!:)
