wel i would be going for nitie if converted ....i am in waiting list.....
although comparisons are not allowed here..but i can vouch that nitie is way better...i have frnds studying at nitie + the mumbai factor..

I am in the final list of IIFT -D but I haven't received the offer letter yet. Any Idea when IIFT will be sending the letter or has anyone got it already?...bcoz they haven't mentioned anything on their site

you'll get an e-mail as well as intimation. but do drop a mail to admissions office

waitlist movement would start once the cat/xat/fms results are out
but you can start bugging them next week onwards..once the convo's over

I have one query..!! I am not shortlisted either for IIFT D OR for K...!!
I want to know till what Waitlist No did candidates like me ( neither D or K) got through in Delhi campus and what was the final WL No dat converted Kolkata.
Need this call badly..!! After loads of rejects..!!

Your position in the waitlist or in the merit list (in case of Kolkata) will not be communicated to you. For finding this out you will have to call the IIFT Delhi Admissions Office.

You will soon be receiving a letter from IIFT with the details of the amount to be paid. The number of seats last year were around 160 in Delhi and 60 in Kolkata.
I don't remember the exact time of receiving my waiting list confirmation. It was around April end I believe. Usually what happens is that when the seats become vacant for Delhi , people in the Kolkata list are allotted Delhi in the order of merit. So if you are not there on any list more probability is that you will end up in Kolkata when the waiting list is released. Students were admitted to the course as late as the date of commencement of the course. Keep in constant touch with the administration. Keep a check on your spam mail also as in some cases your admission letter may go to the spam folder .

I have heard that IIFT informs ppl about the waiting lists over the phone. I have changed my contact number after the GDPI. Should I call the admission office to know about my status as WL has no been declared ?

You should at least send a mail to Admissions office stating your details(app no, roll no, name etc.) with your new phone no.

Is there any Idea abt the SC Waitlist movement ??

It was said in some post earlier tht students who were waitlisted for the Kolkatta campus made it into the IIFT-D in the general category...so is there a possibility of tht being the same in the SC category too ??

When can we get the info abt the WL number for IIFT ??

Somebody pls throw some light on this..!!

Hi all future folks joining iift ..congrats and do get urself a drink atleast ...after reaching here one thing is sure u can afford urself one now...
Few points i would like to clarify
1. The list is not in the order of merit
2.Before u get all paranoid about placements , realize one fact that there is lot that goes behind the b school placement records , and perhaps iift's report is the only one which comes under the direct purview and review of the ministry and under the RTI ACT and gives u a very honest impression without any figure inflation.
3.Check the alum list at linked in of IIFT , and u will find that there are huge names from iift in companies across domains marketing , trade, finance and consulting.
4.IIFT has one of the most relaxed atmospheres when it comes in terms of the life u lead on campus
5.IIFT batch 2009-2011 has surpassed any other college , i repeat any other college in the country when it came to all the major bschool competitions across the country.and 2010-2012 is following fast in its footsteps to keep up the legacy
6.If u are up for all this , then we shall meet on 1st july on campus:...

IIFT Final result is out!

got IIFT Kolkata, name on the list at the 70th position.
Have the number of seats increased? Because previous year IIFT K had only 60 seats I think. Hence I am not sure with my name appearing at the 70th number.
Seniors can you please throw any light on the further activities?

Dude thats just the highest....now this generally goes to ppl with some years of experience under their belt....Now if u take just abt the average placement...you dont earn more than 11lpa
