yup u r ryt...d batch strength is d only concern...bt if u r capable of maintainin urself in d top 25% students there...den go for icfai widout thinkin nything else...gud luck

Just to update. Heard that IBS Hyderabad has a choice of laptop this time. You can pay 40k and get a laptop from them or you can get your own laptop with licensed(windows 7 professional and ms office) software installed in it. If you don't have licensed software, don't worry you need to pay 2k and you will get it from them.

Do not even think of gettin the laptop from the college. You would be provided with an old model, probably with xp in it and some sas software. Its better you carry your own.

There is a bus service which takes you to punjagutta.You get share auto facility also.It is compulsory to stay in hostel.I guess you wont be traveling much on weekdays:)

and ya i forgot to metion...college itself arranges their buses to go to and fro from city evryday at very cheap rates

Finance is very good in hyd campus.The highest went 9 lakhs last year.
Duno about avg.

Pros:
*Brand name,
*Good ranking,
*Great teachng techniques using case studies which is followed in institutes like IIM-A and Harward
*Case Studies Developed by a dedicated team of ICFAI and popular enough to get published in 13 international journals.
*You get an recognized MBA degree
*Situated in metropolitan
*Great placements:Companies like Google,Goldman Sachs
*Decent avg salary packages(depends on you)
*Awsome hostel facilties.Single room per person.
*Good Infrastructure


Cons:
*High intake of students(I heard this year they are planning to decrease therefore they increased cut offs to 84)
*Fees
*Far from city
*Lot of mud gets slung on this college due to the marketing techniques of other ICFAI colleges

If fees is not a concern then definitely IBS hyderabad......IBS hyderabad is best amongst the lot....and if you planning to work abroad or in a govt job,then you have to take another distance learning in Mumbai.Because the PGPM is not sufficient. Whereas the degree from hyderabad will have no such problems.

Since ibs hyderabad has its own pros and cons,., and so does mumbai...

pros and cons of ibs hyderabad:
1.UGC recognised degree,., and certification
2.Campus very far from the city!
3.Hyderabad ain't a very good city
4.The best ranking
5.The best average packages!
6.food aint good :(

pros and cons of ibs mumbai:
1.not recognised,., only certification possible from distance education!!
2.mumbai is a pretty good city
3.Campus s near the city!
4.placements in 2011 were almost 100 percent!!
5.average package is lower than hyderabad but aint so big a concern since, only a difference of 50 60 k is there!!
6.food s pretty fine!! atleast i can survive that food,
Ive been to both cities,., and this is my personal opinion,., please shed some light on what should i choose,my results wr withheld, and they ve been declared today itself! so if anyone of you can really help me with this...please please lend a hand!

IBS hyderabad is clean.I can say this after all my research.There are some problems which some ppl are indicating.....few of them are true...and you will find such problems in most institutes(Student politics,some faculty shifting etc.)

If you have a offer from another really good college..then go for it...if not this is pretty good collegeplease weigh your options
