As told by the fellow puy, foundation course of 3 weeks will be held before academic course starts. Even foundation course is compulsory to attend. It is likey to start by 2nd week of June.

The dates will be told officially when the final result is announced.

10th june the induction starts with numerical ability,comm skills and eco basics.Then session starts from 25th june.I was informed of this by one of the faculty during my PI..Hope it helps.

The placement report is not yet out. We will share it here as soon as it prepared. It is expected by the end of this month.

This is what was mentioned in last year's mail for finally selected candidates. This should help you.







Following is the list of documents to be produced on the day of registration:
1. Birth Certificate or School Leaving Certificate for confirmation of your date of birth
2. Your Graduation Certificate and mark list. If your Graduation Certificate is notavailable on the day of registration, you will have to submit it to the Office latest by the first day of the second term. In the unlikely event that you are unable to do so you will have to terminate the course and all the fees paid shall be forfeited
3. If you are completing your graduation this year, a certificate from theDirector/Principal of your Institute/College, stating that you have completed all the requirements for the degree, including the final examinations
4. Your mark lists of the Higher Secondary and Secondary School examinations
5. Transfer or Migration certificate from your College/University
6. Work Experience certificate(s) from your employer(s); relieving certificate from your last employer, if any
7. Four stamp-size photographs for the identity card and library cards.
This offer for admission is subject to your satisfying all the requirements mentioned above. Your admission is valid if:
1. You indicate your acceptance by paying the sum of Rs........./- by April 15, 2011; and
2. You pay the balance second term fees of Rs....../- by May 5, 2011; and register on June 10, 2011; and
3. You produce the required certificates mentioned above at the time of registration; and
4. You complete the requirements of your degree examinations by June 10, 2011; and
5. You submit your Graduation Certificate and mark list latest by the first day of the second term (applicable if your Graduation Certificate is not available on the day of registration).

1. Most likely, the final list will come out together after cmat gd/pi is also conducted. If there is any change, we will inform you all here.
   
2. You get 15 days to pay the first installment and 30 days to pay the 2nd.

Adding to my previous post I would like to inform you that being a part of the placement process or not is at your discretion. If you have a sabbatical and still want to take part in the placement process, you are free to do so(AFAIK).

I don't think there will be any issues with sabbaticals. Taking a sabbatical does not effect the chances of your selection.Hence no problems with your answer. So chill maarne ka ..!!:)

1. No one has taken a sabbatical here in our batch.

2. So I am not sure about the exact rule if the student with sabbatical is allowed to sit for placements or not.

3. Will get back on this after confirming from the placecom guys.

4. But I don't see any isuue with the answer you gave in PI. All the best.

2. After giving calls, everyone is on the same page : Goans/Non-Goans/Govt Recognised Candidates..

GD will start at around 1:30

It takes some 30 minutes for GD and write up to get over.
After that each candidate is interviewed individually. If you are among the first few, you may get free by 3 p.m also. But if you are among the last few, it may stretch upto 5 or 5:30 p.m. In that case, there might be a problem. But hope things finish fast for you.

We will try from our side to help you out. But we cannot guarantee anything. All the best.

You should have kept some buffer time as Airport is quite far away from this place. It is some 55 Km from here.


Anyways now that you have done it, do request the panel when the interview starts. It's on them to take a decision.

Hi...my GDPI is tomm @ 1:30 and my return flight is at 6:30 pm. Will they entertain my request if I request them to do away with my interview early?

at the time of rescheduling the gdpi date, i was told that the thr wud only be one slot for gdpi...
ie 8.30 am...i'll reach goa... tmrw morning at 6... so will the management allow me to enter the campus around 8-9 am???
also... is it confirmed that thr wont be any gdpi tmrw at 8.30??

As told by Avinash, 8:30 slot has been shifted to 1:30. And you can come to campus whenever you want. You can have your breakfast/lunch here and then get ready for the battle. It's a nice campus to see.

started with shouting from almost all the members ..... all were taking for co-ed hostels still it was fish market..... so i waited for 3 min than thought lets speak against everyone and bringout there opinion for the otherside too....than the whole gd was me against everyone.... so i made lot of entries .... panelist 1 pointed at me and said something to panelist 2 ( dont know whether it was good or bad) overall i was satisfied with my performace

PI :- sorry to say tht but dont know it was a b-school interview or they were interviewing me as i was going to marry their daughter...

questions asked were like do u smoke?? do u drink?? wht about tobacco?? will u work with companies which are related to this industry?? will u marry 2 girls?? wht abt extramarital affair?? so u r patel how much dowry u need?? so do u think dowry is good?? do dowry and love go together?? ( i was thinking wht is this yaar m bored let me go i dont want to marry ur daughter ...... reject me for gim but stop this interview now)

UPDATE :

Those having GD/PI at GIM Campus on 5th/6th March,

1. There were 2 slots earlier on both the days, 8:30 am and 1:30 pm.

2. But there were only 2 or 3 requests for 8:30 am slot for both the days. So GD was not possible to conduct for only 2 or 3 candidates.

3. So it has been decided that there will be only one slot i,e 1:30 pm on both the days.

4. So the candidates concerned may note it and change their itinerary accordingly.

For 50% weightage, how will the scores for XaT and Cmat be normalised?

CMAT is being considered for the first time. So we also don't know anything about the method of normalisation that will be followed for converting CMAT score. But be rest assured that student won't be suffering if he/she has a better CMAT score and due consideration will be given to it.

1. As already told, no information will be shared till the official report is up. It is as per policies of GIM.

2. I can tell you about last year. Honestly speaking, we didn't have any foreign placements for the batch of 2009-11. But then we had few renowned MNCs giving good packages and that too for good number of people.

3. Hope this helps.

Although am just an aspirant like you, but would like to tell you that be honest and true to the panelists....even they know that a student would prefer XIMB over GIM, just like he/she will prefer XLRI over XIMB...

if you would have said ki u prefer GIM over XIMB, then cross questioning might have followed...n probably u would not have the answer to the cross questions...

So be urself...bindaas bolo jo bhi sach hai...in my PI, i was asked about all the calls i had...n i mentioned all...the professor even wrote down all the names on my form(still dunno why), but am glad i did not lie...

IMO, you did the right thing by mentioning your preferences...rest the Godfather a.k.a. Avinash Jha sir will surely answer this in his own way

You never know about what kind of questions could be asked. But then till now, it has been mostly acads based and HR based questions..

The list usually comes out in the first week of April , as far as the question of waiting list goes that usually depends on the results of other colleges which leads to a few students backing out , plus with the CMAT thing thrown into the picture this time , it is really difficult to predict anything about the waiting lists :)

But my advice to you would be Anuj , why rely on the waiting lists ? Give your best in the GD-PI and see your name in the first list itself

You can get Pilots.

Pilots are referred to the bikes here in Goa. They will take some 30 bucks and drop you to college.

You can get the pilots near the Sanquelim bus stand.

You will take some 1.5 to 2 hours to reach J K lodge from Madgao Station if you come by bus.

And 60 to 75 minutes if you come by Cab.

JK Lodge is 2.5 Km from Campus.
