You can go to Dhaula Kuan by bus/cab and then take an auto for YMCA. That's how I went from IFFCO. Since I had my interview in the afternoon slot so there wasn't much traffic and I managed to reach there in an hour.

Better than this, take a cab to karol bagh. From there, take an auto for 30 Rs.

There's a site wikimapia.org .. very helpful in searching routes etc...

I had my essay/pi today-- 1:45 pm batch in Delhi.
I have done B.tech(cse).No work experience(dropped this year)
The process started well on time.We were briefed abt the institute, then a question session followed.The was the essay writing.
Topic- Is India moving away from being secular.
then PI's followed

Moment i sat on the chair.I was asked why MBA.and what followed was why why and why?
To be honest i am very clear abt why i want to do MBA.But anything i would say was not acceptable to them.
The didn't even let me finish my sentences.
An impression that they left on me was of their preconceived notion of freshers lacking focus.
anyway they finally moved away from this topic, highly unsatisfied by my ans saying i was going round and round.
next they asked my abt interim budget, fiscal deficit,revenue deficit and dif between brand and product.thats it.

My only chance of getting into a good B-school screwed up big time :sad:

1) Names of Panels.-

A G Balasubramanian.

There were two panels taking interviews simultaneously. I had the first two as my panelists.



The mood of the interviewers varies from grilling to cool from morning to afternoon. I had my interview in the end so very cool,but some other guys in the beginning were grilled. They are askin acads from freshers.

From me they just asked abt my work, why MBA, what do u think a manager does, and abt other calls, which will u choose, my hobbies, slumdog m.

Personally i feel that they didnt ask me enuf to like me. DUN kno.




Just be normal,carry all certificates,your cv and names of 2 ref who are not ur frens or relatives. If u r a fresher best to give names of professors.

i had my interview today.. they didnt ask for score card.. it will probably be needed during admission.. just tell them you are seeking a duplicate scorecard..it will be fine..

Today My friend came out at 530 and there were 2 more guys left...They would take attendence before calling you all inside for an essay...so tell them when u r inside for writing an essay that u would like to finish the process by 4, if ur name is somewer near the middle of the list...I was 5th today and my process got over by 430...ATB dude

No issues if u cannot produce ur work ex certificate at the time of the interview. You need to have it before u register on day one of college. So there is ideally lot of time before u actually need to produce it.

As of now for the interview you can mention about the same to the faculty, in case they ask, which i doubt!!!

Regarding the pagalguy visit to the GIM, i had already read that in dec. only....n thats how i came to know about the peculiar OT & Morgue (, yeah know the reason behind it....phir bhi....what a name!!!! ) hostels........ I think it was the longest that the back packer stayed in the GIM, than any other visits......

Pls find my answers below according to my understanding:

Reference phone numbers- are numbers of people whom GIM can contact to validate ur details given in application form

Documents:10th, 12th and all degree certificates . Added to that all the proofs(certificates) of achievements mentioned by you in application.and a work ex certificate or may be a bonafide certificate provided by ur company...

As for the timings of interview, it depends where ur name lies in the list.

So keep it flexible and wud suggest u to go ahead and look out for accomodation.. even if ur interview gets over early, u can always go arnd and have a look at places... OLD GOA is close by

Have u all recieved the hard copy of call letter as i have yet not recieved one. I have the interview scheduled for next thursday and i am still waiting for the hard cpoy..is it fine if we yet not recieve the call letter we just take the print out of the soft copy and go to the interview..

Take a prit of the soft copy and go along with an ID proof to the center if the letter does not reach u till thursday. Meet the Admin guy over there, it should not be a problem.

Important Notice:

For those having queries regarding the shift in dates, please read the following lines carefully.

The interview dates will be changed only for a valid and genuine reason. You shall have to produce the call letter of the other institute with which your GIM interview is clashing.

In case you have an interview for GIM at 1:45pm and for lets say XYZ college at 11:45am then you need to come to the center a day in advance and bring the necessary proof(ur GIM call letter,call letter of the college where u are having the second interview) and meet the administrative staff over there. It is entirely based on his/her judgement of the validity of the reason and the availability of an alternative slot that your dates shall be revised.

The date change is given this year to benefit the students who really need it. The administrative staff is taking time out from his/her usual activities at the center to assist you in the process. So please dont take silly excuses to them and increase their workload.

The interview dates for the various centers are as mentioned below.

Delhi 2nd march to 7th march
Mumbai 2nd march to 6th march
Kolkata 2nd march to 5th march
Bangalore 2nd march to 7th march.

The 2 slots are 8:45 am and 1:45 pm.

Only exception is for candidates having their interview in mumbai on the 6th march. Their first slot will be at 9:45 am and location is YWCA not YMCA(please chk ur call letters, am not sure if its 9:30 or 9:45).

Any queries regarding this let us know. Another thing, calling up the admission cell for date changes would not help as the changes would happen personally at the centers, if they are to happen.

One slight correction, For the Mumbai center on 6th of march there will be interviews at 2 places. one panel at YMCA at 8:45am and another at YWCA at 9:45 am. So there will be candidates who shall have either of these locations printed on the call letter. You have to report at the center based on the data given on the call letter. Please have a look at ur call letter carefully before going to the centers and its advisable to go a bit early.
