There were 100 candidates in the 3rd merit list, out of which around 80 had accepted.
And till now, as per above posts 38 have cleared, i.e. around 42 must be still left.

As per my discussion with the admission coordinator we can submit it later but at least keep some proof with you which shows that you have applied for it.. Anyways its better if you confirm this once again from him and let the other people also know...

You can submit your documents before the registration of 2nd term.

Docs wud be :

1. All ur marks sheets

GIM was my first convert and it will always be close to my heart....

This is Rashi here. I am really worried about my seat at GIM. Firstly, i have made my second installment payment through RTGS but didnot receive any confirmation of the same either through mail or a hard copy.By mistake all the mails I sent were sent at admissions@gim.ac.in instead of pgp2010@gim.ac.in .That was really stupid of me.
now its a hell lot of time...I have no intimation of the change in schedule of dates for the commencement of programme...no confirmation of receipt of payment....I am worried that I am still on the list.
guys please help me.as such I will be calling there tomorrow morning but can I be relieved for today atleast that things are not against me.

See Rashi dont worry... If you have sent the payment it must have reached to GIM since RTGS is a very secure and efficient way of transfer. I know things have been a bit topsy turvy regarding the confirmation of payment and also the mails you have not received must be coz your email id would be incorrect in the records.

You can do one thing call up admissions office at 0832-2490304 tomorrow morning and confirm , if no body is there then call up 0832-2490303 and talk to Mr. Steve. If he is also not available then call up 0832-2490300 and talk to receptionist and ask her to transfer to accounts dept.

Worst case call up reception and ask for Prof. Parulekar and confirm your admission from him. he is the admissions co-ordinator.. just dont tell him I asked you to contact him, could be a problem for me.

Rest dont worry, hopefully you have an admit and nothing has happened to your seat..

i paid them thru a DD ...but i guess they will refund thru online transfer ie RTGS ...as they have taken our bank account details..i.e account number,branch name & address,IEFC code and account holder's name...

I think the sole reason for this is the delay in the construction activities at Sanquelim Campus..... It has got nothing to do with any other entrance test...

I feel its because of the delay in the construction activities going on in the new campus.. CET admissions every year go on till very late but the schedule remains unchanged...

We plan to start the next academic year at the new campus at Sanquelim on July 17, 2010. The registration and hostel room allocation (done on first cum first serve basis) for the 240 new first year students will commence on the 16th of July at the Sanquelim campus from 10 a.m. After that it is proposed that all 240 students will be addressed by the Director and Faculty at the Maquinez Palace Hall in the Inox complex at Panaji on the 17th July 2010 morning and we shall provide buses to carry the students from Sanquelim to Panaji and back.
The foundation and orientation program will commence on the 18th of July (Sunday) and will continue for the entire week. First term classes are scheduled to begin on Monday, 26th July 2010.
Each student will be given an RFID enables identity card which will also serve as a smart card to be used to issue library books, record class attendance, make canteen payments and to use the washing/drying machine facilities. On the day of registration, students will have to make a payment of Rs. 5000/- which will be loaded onto your RFID card (for making canteen & other payments)
The Times of India have offered us the following:
1)Supply of "Economic Times" from Monday to Friday (excluding Saturday and Sunday) at the rate of RS. 399/- per year, delivery at Sanquelim or Ribandar.
2)Supply of "The Economist" for one year at Rs. 25/- per copy provided we place an order for a minimum of 100 copies per fortnight for one year.
As these are two publications which we consider necessary for our curriculum, kindly confirm by May 28th, 2010 by email, if you are interested in subscribing to the above attractive rates.
Facilities:
As mentioned in the previous letter, the following facilities/infrastructure will be provided for in the hostel:
-One single bed with storage space, study table with a chair, wardrobe, bookshelf and a soft board.
-Students have the option of purchasing mattresses on campus from a vendor. The vendor will make available foam and cotton mattresses at competitive market price. The tentative price for the mattress is Rs. 4000/- for a foam mattress and Rs. 800/- for a cotton mattress.
Each hostel will also have a washing and drying machine facility (which will be charged for) & a water cooler will be available on each hostel floor.
Students are expected to carry their own linen.

For parents who intend accompanying their wards on the 16th July 2010, it is advisable to stay in Panaji (which is approximately 28kms from the new campus). Panaji offers accommodation options to suit every budget.

@Somjeet---I called GIM office. The concerned person(Vitthal sir) is on leave. So they asked me to call on 31 to know my refund status. They can transfer the money thru NEFT even if you paid the fees through DD.

Happened to speak to GIM office today,They are plannin to postpone joining date to 16th July coz of delay in new campus completion.

They will be making it official in couple of days.

That pretty much solve my issue.

first of all congratss and welcome aboard!! and regarding your query about the relieving letter try to negotiate with your HR and manager for early release... generally in case of higer education its possible not serve the entire notice period... stating this from my own example... had a notice period of 3 months but still managed to convice my manager for 1.5 months.. its always advisible to get the relieving letter from your previous employer since without it some companies(during placements) might not consider your exp... i dont have any idea if GIM would consider your case... seniors can help you on this....

Just got an offer from Mr. Ajit Parulekar. Needless to say i accepted it.
He was very patient and kind enough to answer all my queries. The WL movement has finally started again. Was initially WLed at 29(i think).

As per the above post the third waiting list has cleared till 29 for sure... since you were 6th on the third merit list you would have cleared it long time back.. they would have tried contacting you but since your cell phone was swithced off there was no way they could inform you about it... they would have set a deadline for you to confirm your admission... your name does not appear in the waiting list because it could be in the selected list... try and ask them about the deadline for the payment and make the payment as soon as possible.. all the best..!!

All GIM Students

It is proposed to start the next academic year at the new campus at Sanquelim on June 28, 2010. Of course, the construction programme is very tight and we are trying our best to complete the essentials by that date. We shall keep you posted by the fourth week of May 2010 on the exact plan when the situation is much more clear.

The current plan is to start the registration for the 240 new first year students on the 28th of June at the Sanquelim campus. It should be possible to receive them there on the 27th of June evening. After that it is proposed that all 240 students will be addressed by the Director and Faculty at the Maquinez Palace Hall in the Inox complex on the 29th June morning and we shall provide buses to carry the students from Sanquelim to Panaji. The return will show the fresh students the existing campus at Ribandar and some spots of touristic interest in Dona Paula, Miramar, Panaji, Old Goa and Sanquelim on the way back to the new campus. From the 30th of June we propose to start the Foundation and Orientation courses at Sanquelim.

The incoming batch of students will have the following facilities/infrastructure in the hostel:

-One single bed with storage space, study table with a chair, wardrobe, bookshelf and a soft board.

-Students have the option of purchasing mattresses on campus from a vendor. The vendor will make available foam and cotton mattresses at competitive market price.

Reaching the new campus

BY AIR:

The airport is located 50 kms. approx from the campus.

BY RAIL:

The closest railway stations are Thivim (15 kms. approx) and Karmali (18 kms. approx)

The detailed directions to reach the campus from the Sanquelim town will be available at the GIM website.

The second year batch will be addressed in two of the new 60 seater classrooms at Sanquelim on the 28th of June by the Director/Faculty and regular lectures will follow. Since most students have their belongings in the hostels at Ribandar, it might be advisable for them to arrive here on the 26th of June and move to Sanquelim on the 27th of June. Second year students can opt for single or double room accommodation and are likely to be awarded first preference at the new campus in this request.

In the unlikely event of a delay in the completion of the campus construction, we have a back up plan to start the second year classes at the Ribandar Campus for a month of so. The exact position shall be intimated to you be email by May 25 well in advance of the start of the new academic year.

Well your info is totally wrong....last year

1st merit ( confirmed) list had 120 people... 1st waiting list had 30 people.... 2nd - 30 , 3rd - 20 and 3-4 people were called after 3rd list got exhausted...

yea there is some information doing the rounds. last year they had more than 120 names in shortlist and some 50 odd in second list. last year 7~10 from second list managed to sneak in.
As of now there are 12 confirmed dropouts from GIM shortlist. This number will soar once other pending results start pouring in.
As you pointed out, things will become clear only when second listed get ranks.
