As MBE course structure has been revised to match the industry requirements so dont worry about any particular specialization leading to better placements....In MBE econometrics(QTB) is offered as one of the specilization in the 3rd sem. along with mktng finance etc. so in 1st 2 sems. just assess wat u r gud at n thn u can decide whch specialization suits and upgrades ur skills till thn chillax....and Welcome to M.B.E.

Iam from the batch of 2008-10...Just wanted to inform that College is opening from 16th July instead of 21st July as per prior info. that was given to us....just chk from ur end from the admin deptt. at MBE as am in Hyerabad doin my internship so have nt confirmed it frm the admin yet...in case there is any change...pls post it here...

most probably joining hostel ........ wht r chances for getting the same ??

as number of rooms are very less ....

I inquired from the office at MBE. They said that everybody who wants a hostel more or less gets it. I also inquired at the two men hostels for PG, Saramati and Aravali. They said that hostel rooms are given according to the merit of the student as well as the share of rooms given to MBE. So it depends on your merit.
But I think everybody manages to get hostel. Looking forward to meet you all.

Some of the profiles offered in the campus are in Research, Financial Research/Operations, Market Research and Analytics. Also couple of people have been hired as management trainees by a leading Insurance company.

Well final placements figures are not known to us. Not that there's something to hide:nono:, just that we got too busy with our exams etc and now we are scattered for our summers.

What I can say for sure is that a lot of people have got placed lately so figures are definitely higher than the 66%-70% we told you during the admission ppt.

What is relevant for you to know is that most of our regular recruiters turned up despite the recession, so what we can hope is that a lot more companies will be there for our batch and yours too once the good times start rolling - again. Amen

1. Summers though not always a strong point for MBE has been better for our batch at least. Despite the slowdown around 30+ people got placed thru campus and others used through their own contacts.

Profiles: Research, Financial Operations, Market Research, Sales etc. More on the exact projects will be clear once people start their summers.

2. Of course we are in touch with the alumni , in fact the last alumni meet was a great success! As far as leveraging them for placements etc etc, well it all depends on the students of your batch. Over the past couple of years, there is a greater focus on being in touch with our alumni base throughout the year.
Just make sure you have hardworking people from your batch in the placements, alumni and other committees.

3. There are 1-2 weeks break around Dussehra and Christmas and exams are held around Nov end.

no clue bout the Wintr holz,but i gues v gt Semester Examz n Dec-Jan.

hi,does anyone have updated information regarding this yr's placement figures for mbe maybe thru 2008 passouts etc..and does mbe have summer training..if so, what sort of companies/profiles have the students been going to?does mbe have an active alumni association..i mean considering the fact that it started abt 36 yrs ago..shud hav a huge alumni base...tht way placements shud hav been much better!
