i have heard like M.S has batch strength of only 40,whereas B.K has around 100.so,chances of good placements are with M.S.!!!is it so?i have got to know about recruiters coming to B.K from their site..!!but for M.S, no any such info is available..so,throw some light on what should be the right decision according to you?

I agree with you @redddish. This years GCET level was higher compared to previous years, even I experienced it and confirmed with some officials I know in the university. Making scores above 200+ decent enough for grabbing top 5 colleges. (just a prediction; we still have to wait for merit).

for MS and BK. MS does have a strength of 40, and BK around 100 but both colleges are giving 100% placements since last 2 years. Theres an advantage to both the colleges.

B.K. places itself in the top 100 MBA colleges in India (in some lists) and is a B+ rated college. Located in Ahmedabad, gives and added advantage of metropolitan experience according to industrial view.

MSU on the other hand is a University in itself. Which means that you will be evaluated on CGPA basis, which is the modern outlook of scoring. This is helpful during job opportunities in foreign countries and also during internal evaluation during job placements in India. Vadodara gives it an additional advantage of educational diversity, also important for industrial recruiters.

Both colleges are located in posh areas of respective cities.

This years predictions for GCET merit is less than the previous year; making BK and MS available on scores less than those in GCET '10 & '11.

185 is just above average score for GCET 2012. While top 10 colleges may be difficult to grab, you might get a rank of 500+ this year.

Hope for the best on 10th July, as there are numerous predictions for this year's scores and no one is going to be perfectly correct about the predictions till the merit list.

top 10 may not be possible. for colleges, would have to check the info of college and check whether its decent or not on your own, i may be able to help you but not before the merit ranks. my opinion is gcet doesn't have that many good colleges, if u get a college where placement is not proper, wait for another year, get some job experience and try next year with cmat/ cat and whatever other exams are there. just relax for 20 days, enjoy yourself and see what colleges are there and then take a decision.

som lalit is under top 10 for sure, for top 20 no one would have anyidea. msu has no management quota.

you dont need to apply to any college seperately, just fill up the form of GCET.
the top colleges as per my knowledge would be B.K., M.S. University, G.H. patel.

i dont know about rest of the colleges(one other college name i heard was of amrut modi but am not that sure). admission would be on merit list, where u would be shifted up according to the vacancies and your choice of college.

the knowledge of mine is limited on this, so please correct me where i am wrong. I guess its mostly like the process of MHCET with just a little bit of difference.

Kushals is right.. you dont need to apply separately. just give the exam and you will get the admission accordingly (without GD/PI)..
and regarding colleges B.K, M.S, Amrut mody, GLS are top ones..
