Can we now start thinking in the direction of preparation required for this exam.

And what can we do in this remaining 40 days approx.?:

someone tell me what time is the exam. i have to book a seat. or just tell me how was it last year. it might be the same this year also.

My SOP is about 287 words. It was not possible to give them a coherent view of my profile otherwise, so i decided to write as many as would do. it turned out to be a third longer than they wanted.

Now is that good or bad?
What's the attitude of the panelists/reader towards the SOPs.
Of course they expect verbose ones, but what about a crystal clear one, that's a little bit heavy over the word limit?

I dont think it is a good idea to overshoot the word limit... Stick to the word limits... The idea is to represent yourself in 300 words... So select words and phrases accordingly. Also, seniors might be able to throw more light on this...!!

No buddy, u are not late. It was not supposed to reach there latest by 5 pm on 1st dec. , but to be sent from here latest by 5pm 1st dec.

I have Registered FMS online and taken the DD and Send that to FMS on Nov 27th (Thursday) from chennai...The Guys here in post office said it will reach on saturday..I am Really worried about my form and DD reaching OVer there as there was heavy rain over here for the past two days...Does FMS will accept the form on saturday..???...If not atleast it has to reach today which is last day...Am still tracking Speed Post ,but it didn't say any movement as of nw...what can I do..Can I PM my application number to any of the Seniors or can i call and Ask them..

Here's what they replied with for my queries.

Sir/Madam,

With respect to FMS Admissions 2009, I have two things to know

1) Will you accept an application where the required percentage limits
have not been met, and with improvements possible in the score?

2) The FAQ says " All mails must be clearly postmarked before 5 p.m.
dated 1.12.2008."

Is it to be taken as the postmark at the applicants location?

At this stage of screening process, percentage is not filtered as final year students are also eligible to sit for the test.
Yes, in order to avoid any dispute about whose fault it is we accept the last date of submission as the postmark (within a reasonable limit of transit delay)
Send the completed form clearly postmarked before the last date and time: 17.00 hr on 1.12.2008

hey frnd u need not wori,after dey receive the application form,dey will send u a confirmation email.i made the online payment.on the form ur transaction receipt number will be printed.that it self is the acknowledgement fr the receipt of payment.
i sent my from on 25th nov by speed post(frm bhubaneswar),and i got the acknowledgemnt of receipt of application 2da.......

If u have filled in the form online and made payment thru CC using the Axis Bank Gateway....After u have made the payment, a page appears containing the details of the payment made by u...

Tht can be taken as a receipt of making the payment...

One acknowledgement can be the fact tat after payment, on logging in again, it says, payment successful, take printout...

I guess ur form must hav reachd by this time...moreover today was the last day of receiving the applications..

For ur satisfaction...u can jst drop a mail or confirm it by calling FMS...

Date thing should not be a problem.
1) Call the FMS peopple and ask them what to do
2) do the same by droppin a mail to them

FMS WAS NOT OPEN ON SUNDAY....ATLEAST THEY WERE NOT TAKING FORMS........

i went to fms today to resolve my dispute.
over there, i also asked about a few people's issues, ie those who didnt attest their photos. as per them, you guys would be called to fms some time in the next few days to attest them. your application will not be rejected over this issue. thats what they've said. so relax....

38. I bought one FMS admission Form from a SBI branch for Rs 500/-, indicating my preference for one program (MBA). How can I apply for both the full-time programmes?
You may simply attach a Demand draft for Rs. 500 in favour of Registrar, University of Delhi along with the Bank Counterfoil for applying for both the programmes.
Please note that the Application Form of Full-time programmes cannot be used in Part-time programmes or vice-versa.

What are they suppossed to do with so many copies.

Its very obvious that the admit card has three parts - one for candidate, one for test centre and one for fms.

Thats why its triplicate admit card.

Hope this helped clarify your doubt. Print it once and paste your photograph. attest it and send.

Hi what did u submit- form u bought from SBI or Downloaded form from website?

I want to submit downloaded form but there is no acknowledgement slip in it. What to do?
Also can I submit the form on 1st December by hand at FMS?

Today I have filled the online application form for MBA and MBA(MS) and made an online payment of Rs 1000/- for the same . The payment was approved, but when I attempted to re-login for taking the print out for the same it is showing the login error. what u can do is reprint your admit cards, sign the photos, sign on the cards and re-mail them to fms.. in the mean time do e-mail them with your app number and state what you have done... this can be done as a last resort if nothing works out...

i tried to contact the fms authorities but the phone is either engaged or no one is picking it up........

should i send it as it is.........

you could have tried for a bit longer to contact them except for the fact that it's more than a bit late now, to continue any further... i would recommend sending it as it is rather than changing anything on the hard copy...
another suggestion::-- you can re-register yourself with a different email id... you only lose the money but the mistake can be rectified this way....
your call now... had i been in your place i would have done the latter...
