I mean to ask that whether I have been upgraded from DLT-M to DLM, how will I know?
Also I want to know the procedure for withdrawal if needed.

What does IP~ NILGIRI says? does that mean we have to temporarily adjust in IP apartments??

Yes, U will be provided a flat in IP appartment to be shared between 4-5 ppl, till there are empty rooms in Nilgiri.

Last yr, this period ws around one month.
U r very lucky, IP and Nilgiri are neighbours.. Those alloted IP-Kumaoun, will be having long walks for food...

However, according to the hostel allotment list, a Demand Draft drawn in favour of Director IIT Delhi (Hostel Name) Hostel for Rs.14,100/- and another Draft of Rs.850/- in the name of REGISTRAR IIT DELHI are required. Could seniors please clarify this discrepancy?
   
2. For those of us who are arriving on the 22nd, will we be allotted rooms on that day?

just want to enquire if migration certificate is required at the time of registration or not , as it is mentioned nowhere in our communications with the dms but is considered an important document in many b - schools.


Secondly, ppl plz download the medical performa (for those who have not ) from the below mentioned link. The medical would be required during registration.

As far as I know migration is necessary to submit whenevr one join new university different from his/her previous one. It takes quite a long time to get migration from universitiy....I suggest u to initiate the process with ur university if u hvnt made it yet and bring during registration...normally college gives extra 2-3 months (after registration date) to submit migration certi, as fresh graduates usually dont have it during the time of registration.

Below is the process of obtaining the migration certificate from Mumbai University. For other universities process may slightly vary:

1. You need to have your college leaving certificate from the college you last graduated in. If you don't have, you will have to obtain that first.
2. Download and print the migration certificate form from this link:

3. Fill up the form and go to your college (where you last graduated from)
4. Submit it.
5. You may be asked to come back after 2 days to collect the transfer certificate.
6. Now take this certi and go to Kalina University at Santa Cruz. Go to the Ambedkar Bhavan building.
7. Submit the certi along with xerox copies of marksheets. You will have to pay Rs. 220 and given a receipt. You will again be asked to come back in 2 days
8. Go and collect the migration certi. The certi is really small with just one line written.

I had a chat with one of our seniors (Viral) and he said we'll be receiving some PJA's (Pre Joining Assignments) around first week of july.
I am currently serving my notice period, and not at my hometown, so would really appreciate any updates in this regard

so finally it is....Have got a call from DMS abt the upgradation to DLM.....
some WL movement must also have had happened.......

regarding hostels , all they have told me is to call up tomorrow...

they have also told me that a letter regarding accommodation wud be sent to us once evrything gets finalised......

I want to know the details of the fee structure of DMS and an estimate of total expenses (two years) on course fees, hostel fees, books etc as I have to apply for an Education Loan .. Also, as I'll have to deposit some form of proof for it, can u tell me where to find the fee structure of DMS ? Thanx ...

Called up Vimal kumar of Admissions Dept today and he has told that the clearance of waitlist as well as DLT- DLM upgradation will take place only in july...Seniors could you please confirm this!!!

he also said today or tomorrow he will be forwarding the list of selected students along with the hostel accomodation request letters to the Dean of Students Office..
for hostel allotment process...

Asked him abt the hostel accommodation thing
told me that the hostel guys might call us up and inform us abt the hostels and the fee payment procedure once the final allotment is done...

cant wait to step into DMS!!

PS: good to see the huge in rush of participants into the Dilli -DMS meet with seniors..hope u will have masti and the meet becomes a big success!!!

No updates/clearances on main WL as of now.
We are waiting for few more withdrawals before announcing the list.
Just trying to ensure next list to be the last list before we close admissions(If all the seats are filled in the next list).

but there will be a next list , right ???
