Hi me too thinking of joining the kengeri campus. Have u talked to anyone using the bus service? I mean wont it be inconvenient to spend 2 hours daily in commute?

Same case wid me ...me too waitin for the cet results.
I visited the campus myself. The infrastructure was gud enough. I also had an interaction wid the administrator there ,he once again assured me of common placements with the main campus.
I also had a chat with the Director Father Thomas who was at the campus, he informed me that the entire administrative setup of management department is common for both the campuses and even some faculty members are common.
However no hostels are available as of now, so they said most of the students live in rented accommodation in the kengeri town some 7-8 kms away. No idea abt food n other stuff.

As far as refund rules are concerned I read somewhere in thr website about AICTE approval so i guess they will refund the fee but be prepared to fight hard for it :-o

Although i have a final call from IILM-GSM but considering that Christ is probably the best college in MAT I am thinking about joining it.

Its arnd 5 kms away frm Kengeri Commercial Area.... One can find cheap and good accomodations there.... And u will get everything dere... so don't worry... regarding food, i admit that its nt dat tasty but its upto one's choice whether one is lkin 4 TASTY SNACKS or GOOD EDUCATION.... Also one must keep in mind that if one wants to enjoy city life, den its nt da place to be... but rest u can be assured... be it faculty, academics and infrastructure......

that is a bit rude on ur part. i was not talking about TASTY SNACKS as u put it. but for vegetarians, what they have in their convent hostel is plain rice without any vegetable or pulses. I dont think any human being can survive on just that for 2 yrs. and about good accomodation, they themselves said that kengeri is not safe for girls living in PGs. Please dont misguide others if u dont know the clear picture. And it is exactly 8 kms, not 5, if u go by the auto u can measure it. So now the choice is SAFETY or EDUCATION or SAFETY WITH EDUCATION. for those who want the latter, i wud suggest for staying in the city and using the bus service.

Your right..thats how it works normally so there should be no cause of concern in terms of placements, faculty, infrastructure & curriculum. the only cause of worry must be the hostel ( if there is one & the food & the distance it is from the main city) nothing else. Decide to what extent you can afford to compromise and think how good christ mba is for you and take it up or drop it, its your call at the end of it :)

I'm sure all of you who got into kengeri would have taken it up had you got into main campus if you ever wanted to get into christ. So its all about making choices using the alternatives you have at the end of it.

guyz make 1 thing preety clear kengiri campus in only 1 year old as per knowledge is concerned so this batch is going to b 2 nd batch so how can u know bout placement for accurate info u have to wait for anodr year odrwise u have to judge kengiri campus with odr parameters and c whther dis is a good option for u or not

c comparison of clgs is not allowed in PG and dis thread is only meant for christ pls ur quriez regarding sadhana and bimm respective thread
but in my personal opinion bimm and christ have same fee structure(only main campus general mbaand kengiri campus )and if u go thru d mandatory disclosure of bimm u will find avrg salary is some wat 3.9 to 4 for diff streams so i think its up2 to make choice in between these 2 depending on different factors such as location,placement
and in case of sadhana i think u will get d degree from ignou
so judge ur prefences gather as much info as u can and take informed dcsns

bimm is a good colege..bt in my opinion christ main campus mba is better..

n dis time they want whole 1 year fee within 7 days!!

central hrd dept has decided to derecognize christ but dat is under jurisdiction next hearing in april i forgot dat date but christ is affiliated by UGC .so UGC has nothing to do with dis
btw wen u people attended thr gd/mp did they tell u something regarding dis affiliation issue ?
and yes fees is obviously a big thing u have to pay entire fees of first year at once no odr way

ya m from pune...m jonin 4 sure..have 18 months work ex...dont want 2 prolong my mba further...n christ is the best coll i have in hand rite now...
n nt much idea about kengeri campus..bt i visited it recently....its 30km from the main campus...shuttle service is provided from the main campus everyday...college provides assistance in findin accomodation near to kengeri campus...placements are common..so sounds like a good deal..

i found out...2bhk in nearby areas are about 6500 2 10000 bucks....thats fine i guess...kormangla,vivek nagar has many flats..its about 5-6km away 4m the campus...i dont think that should be a prob...good pgs available..bt the same timing issuses n all...m goin there on the 7th.will find out more about the rent scenario n all...
n ya christ main mba is absolutely worth joinin..

in sg paliya road u can easily find many flats the rent for 2 bhk flat is varies from 9 k to 10 k and i saw a flat which is almost 15 mins walk away frm christ and if u opt for pg if it includes all d facilities such as fooding ,internet conxn it may charge u upto 4 k but the problem wit pg rooms are very small i did not like pgs

congts first....christ is the best kollg thrgh mat...in seems of ROI if u hv got through MBA general main campus(4.9 lkh) than its totally worth.
Regarding Hostel..it has hostel facility but usully students prefer pg or rented...bcoz its 4 sharing basis..so if u hv no other calls nd want to do MBA this tym then just go rest depends on ur decsn.

the dd amount for mba general in main campus is 2.5 lakhs.. that was my dd amount.. and they did ask us to sogn an undertaking which said that no refund will be provided in case we cancel our admission before submitting our original documents.. and refund will be given if we cancel it after submission of documents.. still clarify that particular point..

Look, college has a good name..placements are same for both campuses. the only problem will be location of the college ( outskirts of Bangalore ) and the hostel and the food & also how badly you wanna do your mba now & what are the various other alternatives you have. Answer these questions and you'l make up your mind soon enough.

Another reason why not a lot can be said of how the kengeri campus is because it just came up last year ! you can't just comment on something within a year now can you ? but ppl who are going to kengeri will definitely have to think of the food facilities & the accommodation( hostel ) there should not be any other cause to worry.

Course at kengeri= sorry don't have much idea on that campus. but i reckon it will be more or less the same and YES, IT IS FAR from the city, transportation i guess manageable. It's quite far from the main campus kengeri campus crowd i don't know. It's a new campus of Christ University there

I spoke of the main campus because i know about it

First off.. Christ University is a good college with good infra and faculty and a very well established name..its even internationally recognized( as in has tie ups with foreign uni's + its well known abroad)..the ROI is good for all mba courses..the vcu is just started...so the vcu guys who got selected are the first batch. Its one of the TOP 5 mat colleges and definitely comes in top 5 in Bangalore.

Those who get into MAIN CAMPUS need not worry about hostel=the areas around is decent although the cost of living will shoot up but if you can afford it BETTER take it up instead of opting for christ hostel.

Secondly, if your one of those guys who thinks he's going to play around and do his MBA and go with attendance of 60odd % FORGET CHRIST..its like CENTRAL JAIL to live in there but you survive in there you will survive ANYWHERE else in this world. Don't expect studying in Christ to be a piece of cake. it isn't like that AT ALL !

The staff like the librarian etc are those shrewd kinda people who will not tolerate rubbish and bullshit. They squeeze you and twist you like anything but yet its worth being there every bit. Hang in there once your used to it..Its just a ball then..Lots of activities around happening all the time ! good crowd...loads of opportunities to learn right from the word go. If your thinking of leaving out the main campus then its a BIG mistake your making. Try to avoid their hostel as much as possible, its not the best & it will never be the best.

I'm not an Alumni but i'm doing my UG there ( BBM final year) thats why i happen to share whatever i've noticed there for the past 3 years. They are very strict in terms of attendance & in terms of dress code

Highly unlikely. i reckon the admission process is now over. cos they have it in 2 cycles..so i think its over.
