i did not take my allotments in cap 1 and 2
my pune university score is 128 and all india score is 155
i had some problems while filing cap round 3,
1} can i apply through my home university scores and all india scores
2} am i eligible to do the same in cap 4 if i do not get through this round.or my all india score would become invalid in round 4
3} now as in cap 1 the first 5 options and in cap 2 the first 7,wherein it was neccesary to secure admission is there any kind of similar rule in cap 3.if yes what is the number of the compulsary preferences
4} in case of compulsary options what wud be the strategy to put options in the third round


in cap3 u hv to compulsarily take whichever coll is alloted.so only apply fr colls ur interested in

(1) the score by which u will get better option will be considered..
(2) nope for all indian candidates CAP-3 is last round...all india score is no more valid for CAP-4. CAP-4 is only for MS candidates with CET score.
(3) For CAP-3 if u get any of ur options then irrespective of u confirm ur admission or not , u won't be eligible for CAP-4.....that means all the options are compulsory one...i mean if u get any of the option ur not eligible for CAP-4.
(4) so fill only those colleges wherein u want to take admission

Afa MITSOM is concerned, as u see, the cutofffs havent gone down even by a mark...and most of the students in range 130-140 would probably be confirming their admissions in the 2nd round. So the seats for cap 3 will be very less and even if there are more seats vacant, the merit decreasing by 10 marks will be a miracle...above all if a person having higher rank than u opts for 3 rd round , then he would capture that seat...So better take a good decision:batman:

if u get admission in top 7 u are not eligible for 3 rd round

Looking @ the cap 1 cut offs with mit closing at 138 and Sinhgad at 140 for open I think the cut offs for 2nd round may fall by max 4 marks..
So I think you will get the bottom line of scenario... Best of Luck

Dont even think of entering the cap2...
As sinhgad kondhwa is better than wadia...dont lose ur seat ...who knows if u lose both wadia and sinhgad kondhwa.

Lets clear out the myth ----The placements at indira for HR this year was 4.6...(one of my friend got 4.10)...secondly---It all depends on your academic performance and the performance at the time of placement interview...Dont get confused go for the best one which is within your reach.

I got AI rank of 177 and a cut off of 177 as well, as OMS candidate. I missed out on Welingkar's and K.J Somiya in CAP round 1, can anybody let me know if I can apply for Welingkar's in CAP round 2 and what are my chances of getting into Welingkar's?

Hey, the cutoffs should drop slightly in CAP 2. Also, I would suggest that you try for CAP 2 as well because if nothing else, there are surely going to be vacant seats in Singhad in CAP 2 that you can get. All the best..

Hey, JB and Sydenham are straight away out and I dont think you can get Somaiya or Welingkar at that rank, going by the last year's cut-offs. But colleges like PUMBA, SIES, Dalmia, Chetna, MET are possible. All the best..

Yep, ranks unlike scores can give you a fair idea...Mind you, only a fair idea, coz the competition has increased way beyond everyone's imagination and comprehension...

State your score and rank out here (alongwith category if any) and people out here will help you give an idea as to where you stand! :grin:
