You need to lodge the grievance at the ARC before 21st June . I had put up this issue in the earlier posts regarding W.E discrepancy . If you have the slip which confirms the marks alloted then you can claim for it otherwise try convincing them to show the sheet which was used to notify the W.E marks

No dude, i dont have any slip or acknowledgement. Even my friend wasn't given any(at the same centre). I am afraid if those guys wud be cooperative enough to show the sheet which was used to notify the W.E marks.

Hi raz,
Well u being OMS the chances of you getting into JB are not good, almost non-existant. Even for PUMBA, you may just get in. see if you can try in the later rounds coz these two colleges are fair to OMS as far as the OMS quota goes.

I know the struggle of OMS students..some of my best frenz (on n off pagalguy are OMS )n i know being @ 99.92 they cant even think of JBIMS..


newaz who r we to discuss about such things....
i mean if on 1 end u have OMS people with less no..of seats n on the other end..u have home university with just 1 attempt to try their luck!!
so i guess it all zeros in to the fact about the DTE rulz...if anyone can modify it..its gotto be the DTE guyz..since its with their consent that all this is going on!even the selling of seats..i mean comeon...they cant keep sponsoring Wi-fi for all 50 odd campuses in mumbai right?

Prob'ly in near future we cud see one test n no reservations..lolzz

While returning from Mumbai after the GDPI,I met this girl on the train ....who told me that the CET guys are very partial as fatheyr as OMS people are concerned and that they try as far as possible to take in students from Maharashtra...Also, she said that all colleges ,with the exception of JBIMS...charge money to admit OMS candidates...Basically,what she meant was that it's a very very tough call for u if u're an OMS candidate...

Could u pls let me know if any of this is to be believed?
I have a 99.75 percentile in feb MAT and my gd was ,according to me,pretty gud...and the PI was ok....

can I atleast expect SIES or Chetna with this score?

Do u think it wud be a gud idea for me to wait for the CET results,considering i evrythin that I have heard....? Or shud I go in for some insti like Amity?

hey I dont think any such gamble is neede infilling up the option form.....
you have to just consider the score u have and the popular choices among the ppl....
if u have a average score then no use giving optimistic choices like JB, sydenham or PUMBA for that matter...
u can start with the next best choice u consider going ....

well the most you do ..
calcualte the seats available to you....
and u have the rank so u can very well get it correct...

for e.g.

u r ranked 30....
and jb and sydenham have 9 and 9 seats each.
followed my pumba( this choice may differ)
so u r definitelty not good for the first two choice...
so leave them....
so put pumba/welingkar/somaiyya as choice number one...
in this way u have a high probabality of hotting on ur 3rd 4th choice only....

now if u wnat to avail the ioption of admission against cancellation this year...

then u can have ur optimistic choices (where u know u cant get in) in the first five and the sure shot choices after 6 and onwards....

the option form filing is a simple process juz when u know where to get in....

This year the entire process is being handled by the DTE and not the individual colleges like last year....
And as we all know..this year if you get admission in one of the top few options in the CAP round the student's name is out of the next round irrespective of whether he/she wants to take admission or no.
And the colleges will be sent the final list of admits by the DTE ...hence there wont be any chance of the colleges being partial towards students.

Hi Surabhi,
Yes, last year it had happened that ways, but rather than saying that the colleges were favouring maharashtra students I would say they were making money, most of the colleges wud "Sell Off" the seats to other students who would be ready to pay. As far as I know government colleges like JBIMS and PUMBA do not indulge in such practicess. But since the rules are different this time round, i guess this problem should be taken care of.

All said and done, yes it is difficult for OMS students to make it but that is ONLY because they have only 15% seats and they can give marks of other exams also, thats it.

ok guys tell me this......i am a bombay guy with 93.1 percentile.i had a very good gd n pi and am hopeful of getting good marks there.but i dont know how to go abt filling the options.it is obvious tht i dont stand a chance in the top5 colleges so shld i fill the top 5 as my first 5 options just in case or shld i give a more realistic option form with my top 5 preferences being the ones i stand a chance to get????which way will be the most beneficial??some body told me if i fill say welingkar instead of jbims as my 1st option it will be better for me.can some1 throw more light on the funda behind the option form??as i see it there can be two possible ways:
1]even if i fill the top 5 as my 1st 5 ... wen my turn comes they'll give me wat is available at tht moment kind of like how engg admissions r done in a centeralised way.
2]if i put my 6th option as welingkar n another person with lesser marks puts 1st option as welingkar he gets the seat before me as it was his 1st option and mine was 6th even though i got more marks than the other person!!!!

the allotment of set is according to merit..So you will be alloted a college before anyone with a lower score but after everyone with a higher score. So you will get wellingkar before the other guy....so chill

even if ur 6th option is welingkar, u'll get it i(f the seat is available) and not the guy with lower marks than u...even it is his first option.

the process is according to inter-se-merit
all ur options ll be checked before any of the lower marks candidates options being checked.
so, dont worry abt the case being happening....

all of us r waiting 4 the results now.i had called to DTE yesterday and got the info that the results wud be declared on 14th june.

we are atlking here in the same with which u applied for CET..
do u remember filling up the CET option form online ...........
once u get the ranks accoridng to ur marks in all the stages ...
you have a give 9(sumbody correct me if i am wrong) options for the colleges of ur choice...
u will be allocated as per ur choice...
which gain will take some amount of time...........

i hope ur doubts are clear.............

no scorpion..u hv to giv a list fo 15 colleges...if u get a seat in any of the first five options that u mentiond, then u r nt eligible for future rounds irrespective of whether u tk admission or not..if u dont get a seat in the first round/get a seat in any college other than the first five that u mentioned, u can sit for round 2 when u hv to again fill an option form, then the above rule again applies, only this time, instead of top 5 options, if u get a seat in the top 7 options tht u hv mentioned, u wont be eligible for other rounds...ther r 3 rounds overall and in the 4th round, u ll hv personal counselling..thats what i remember reading....

User id is the application ID which you can check on your CET admit card/hall ticket/call letter... it starts with MB07
and as for the password, that you'll have to figure out on your own!
