1) Faculty: Alkesh Mody score way up than other level II or III collgs on basis of its faculty. We share some faculty with prestigious JAmna lal bajaj. Mind u, we are there are only 2 B-schools under Mumbai University 1) JBIMS 2) Alkesh Mody

it clearly states the B schools run By Mumbai University and Mentions only JBIMS, Alkesh Mody.

the other faculty specific advantage Alkesh Mody gets is because of its location, ryt within the university campus. the advantage we drw out of it is that we invite faculties from other university depts, like dept of economics, dept of law not only as visiting faculty for for guest lectures also, which explain concepts related to curriculum subjects.

2) FEES : Alkesh Mody being a govt college provides bu with cheapest option of doing MBA anywhere Under MH-CET. There are no hidden charges as charged by other Pvt institutes. Again i state fees for this year is rs 1 lakh for Open category, rs 50 K for OBC , And rs. 500 for other reserved categories. Concession is also available for economicaly backward class, subject to university

3) Batch Size

Batch size at ADMIS is just 60. trust me guys thats a very big advantage.

the details for my batch as ADMIS GOES As FOLLOWS

Finance: 28 , Mktg: 20, HR: 8 Operations: 4, IT Nil

Private Institutes name it any have a MMS batch and a PGDBM Batch. The strength goes anything close to 240 Plus. sometimes even more

usually its a trend ( i m saying for Finance / mktg) that 45% of batch takes Finance. 30% Mktg and rest forms the HR , IT & Operations.

now 45% of 240 is : 108 Thtas a mind blowing no.

nw think care fully and the ask urself a question. isnt it easy getting a job out of 28 students ( finance at ADMIS) than finding ur way thru 108.

these are questions to be thought of and answers to be seeked before seeking an MBA admisison. which i hav observed applicatns fail to understand.

4) Department of Management

Soon ( it is yet to confirm ) we may get the coveted status as Department of management, Mumbai University.

5) Infra:

ADMIS Infra rocks man. its dam cool. its a place to chill. nw i m answering this as a young guy rather than as a consultant promoting ADMIS. The University itself is so scenic. The univesritys dept of fisheries is ryt behind us. This gives us access to the open amphitheatre behind ADMIS and the nice pond fisheries dept hav, ofcourse with fishes and ducks.. Jokes apart. Good place to hang out with chicks.

The campus is WiFi enabled. U get mind blowing speeds there. I have downloaded enormous movies man...... YO.

The class are fully AC with 2 AC per class.

The library is the best one ammogst B-schools, as admitted by even faculties of other MBA institutes.

The IT lab is good. soon going to replaced by New flat screen Dell comps.

the collg is open morning 7 to nyt 9. wat all u need. i guess after than u anyways sleep or become a couch potato.

Hey how abt summer placements this year.. were they on-campus 100% or did students had to struggle out. Approximately uptil wht time will it get the coveted status.. this yr or next... Wht difference wil it make then... Wil it be compared to top colleges then.... My Air is 847 and oms.. i kno i wil make it here but is it worth investing my 2 years or shud i drop n try next yr fr top colleges as i m a fresher yet...

one very important point ....there r NO MANAGEMENT SEATS IN THE COL.

all admissions r purely on MERIT

Hii my cet score is 151 nd AIR-839, m an OMS. Can i gt ADMIS, btw i saw last year's rank trend -994,819 nd 845... Hw abt me?? Alankar says its difficult 4 me to get in,, is it so?

Placement Highest i knw was at Leehman Bros at 6.5 PA

other 6 at Kotak Mahindra bank

Student's growth in comparitively lower rank college? I cudnt get this question,

If u mean rise in ur job / career. Then once ur out of colege after getting in 2 yrs of work ex ur job speaks for u. The colege name do provide intial Push but later ur brain / work matters the most.

Foreign language is allowed as a elective, But i didnt tok as its very tough, i feel. U can also do certfication courses from University's dept of Foreign Lang along with ur MMS

Industry Interface is increasing day by day, Specially since the new director has joined. Who is cool man with contacts in several industry.



ya my colg will need a GAP, domicile, but they will giv u plenty of time to giv it. I havent submited my GAP till nw. ha ha ha ha

hi raunak ....i m sure to make it to alkesh dinesh .... i want to know b4 the recession how much was the avg salary ... and how many students were placed... i understand that bcoz of the recession placements all over india went simply haywire... dats y i want to know wat was the situation b4 it ... how do u find the faculty ? and what advantage does a department status have??

i am interested in this college. i had also visited the campus personally but since all the seniors were on summers so cudnt get the right information abt the college.. can u plz elaborate more on the terms of final placements in past years and recently. and what is a MDP? Is it really going to get the name of Dept of Management Studies??
