Came out of the paper and felt I could have attempted more in DI of LDI section. Then talked to some of my friends. They said it was good that u did not get time to solve DI coz neways u wont have done much there.

My take on the paper.
RC: defintely tougher than last year.
VA: Was as good as last year.
QA: was purely question selection test. Slightly tougher than last year.
LDI: I think any prepared could have done those 15 questions(6+5+3+1)
So with RC and QA on tougher side and lower per question marks for RC+VA makes one think that cut off should be lower than last year 33(37-4) towards 30. But then this time ppl (esp puys) are puttinf sky rocketing figures. So it can be 1 or 2 marks higher. So cut off should be in range of 30-33. But if they removed the section cut off thing then the overall cut off can shoot upto even 36-37.
So all the best all puys. And forget about it now. We have a big, really BIG exam called the great FMS exam next sunday.....

guys in oms sheet i picked delhi campus option only . my score is 21 , what cutoff do kolkatta iift call for obc's ?? do they even consider those who did not select kolkata ? could we have circled both options ??

OA around 30....with hopeless sectional in GK(0.
Since there was no mention of equal competency to be shown in all the sections we can hope that there are no sectionals(only non-negative criteria)..since it happened a couple of years backs....as far as overall cutoff is concerned, the paper was tougher than last year by all means, also +4 marks was allotted last year for wrong questions....so i logically assume cutoff to be lower...nyways only results can tell the truth....ATB to all puys....till that day :drinking::drinking:

I think the cut off this time would be around 36-37 aftr reading few scores posted by some. M getting 30.xx according to TF and am pretty sure wont clear the cutoff as expected by TF.

As per TF.
DI/LR - +9.67
RC/VA - +5.27
GK - +2.53
QA - +4.32
OA:- +21.8

Which means no hopes left for iift and need to concentrate on SNAP now.

Yeah last year's paper had 12 instructions and this year's had 11. The missing one was the sectional cut-off instruction. I think sectionals won't be there, but still nothing can be said with certainty.

Can anyone let me know how the iift administration evaluates which questions are ambigous. Is there a forum where students can submit questions for consideration?

IIFT does evaluate and award marks to all the students if the question(s) is(are) wrong.
Last year all of us got +4, which raised the cut off from 33+ to 37+.

In one GK question the option was wrongly mentioned as "Samaranth Jung" instead of " Samaresh Jung". Also in one of the parajumbles one option had two choices for sentence 4. God knows when these people wont commit such silly mistakes.

no preference to work ex... neither on the positive side nor on the negative side.
its ur score final that is considered.
we have ppl with 3+ years work ex and freshers too.
also our senior batch there were more work ex guys
so there is no definite criterion.

You could still be in with a chance for a call.

When I cleared the written 2-3 years back my scores would not have been beyond 27-28...

But then papers are different over diff years and the competition is also stiffening...
