Dear Meghna

Academic performance do form a part of overall score in the Final Merit list for selection to SIIB, but it is not the only criteria of selection. First you have to clear the cut-off for SIIB in SNAP exam to get shortlisted for next round. Once shortlisted, you will have to appear through various selection process like GD/PI/Essay Writing etc. after which a Final Merit list based on your cumulative performance will be out.

So, I would suggets you to first prepare for SNAP, do well there and score high so that your good SNAP score offsets your Academics and do not worry about academics as you cannot do anything about them now.

You are not allowed to join SIIB if you do no clear your Backlogs. So make sure you clear them too. Wish you all the best for your prepration.
PS: Even My academics are really poor, but still i managed to convert most of the B-Schools I applied to. So Relax and Prepare well !!

Heartiest Congratulations on making it to SIIB. Just inform Admissions Office that you would be joining late by E-mail and over phone that you would be joining late. As far as Migration certificate is concerned you can submit it within 10-12 days after you join but make sure you do not delay it further as you may not be allowed to sit in 1st Sem exams if you do not submit it/submit it vary late.

I have accepted offer from SIIb.
As I have already joine SIBM-B I am at Bangalore now.I have sent mail to both clgs for transfer of my fees from SIBM-B to SIIB.
And programme at sIIb is already started.So,I think that I sholud reach SIIB as soon as possible.So,when is siib going to give me hostel facilities?I need it by 7th june.

First of all Congratulations for making it to SIIB. I think you should not wait for your fee to get transferred and then shift to SIIB as the process will take some time. I would advice you to talk to Admissions Office at 020 - 229343 14 / 17 / 18 / 19. Forward them the mail that you got about the confirmation of transfer of Fee from SIBM-B at admissions@siib.ac.in. I am sure they will consider it and give you a date from when you can join. Try insisting if you can join on 7th as on 8th there is an Outbound trip which Iam sure you would not like to miss !!

Even I got a mail today evening regarding the admission. Won't be taking it up though. Looks like 25 seats are still vacant for IB as there are 25 e-mail addresses mentioned in the to section of the mail.... Lot more movement it bound to happen.

Today maybe due to registration process phone lines must be busy. You reply back to admissions@siib.ac.in stating your acceptance. And try contacting them tomorrow on phone as well. They will send u all the details regarding fees and course structure.

Your reason to join late is completely genuine and I would like you to drop a mail at admissions@siib.ac.in informing them that you will be joining late. Also, call the Admissions office and talk to them personally.

Regarding the loss of study for 15 days, I would like to tell you that covering it depends on your ability and interest to cover it up as it should not be a problem at all in case you strech a little bit once you are back. Many of my Batchmates joined a month late but did really well in finals.

And regarding your application for Student Exchange programme, do stay in touch with any of your batchmate and collge for notifications about that.

I have a friend studying in SIIB and he says the placements this year have been very poor, infact even 80% of the batch has not been placed, and that is the reason the placement report has not been put up while almost all top colleges have disclosed the placement report. Seniors, please throw some light.

I am sure you must have got the Fee breakup for AB. Regarding your query for Migration Certificate I would like to inform you that it is mandatory to have a Migration certificate along with Transfer certificate as well as only Transfer certificate won't be sufficent.
So, apply to your university for Migration certificate as it may be difficult for you once you are in Pune to get it form your university.

guys sumone please guide me. I graduated lasted year but i gave snap this year.wastd a whole year but cudnt crack it. I realy wantd to make it to siib.. I was nt that gud at maths as am a b.com grad. I can very wel crack va and lr. Should i try for snap again meanwhile joining for m.com so that i do not waste tym anymore. Please guide..

No, not at all Ankit. Waitlist movement will continue depending on number of dropouts. I wrote that message just in case a new list comes up and someone does not check his mail account and loose out on days to arrange for fees. So, it;s better to be alert and aware of any communication in case an aspirant convert.
I wish you all the best. Let's hope for the best. Personally I think it will continue till June as last time ther were some converts even after classes started.
