208 (Setional : QA:74 VA:55 LR:61) for FTMBA (SOURCE: My Result Link)

2. FTMBA = Full Time MBA and includes MBA Core, MBA-Actuarial Science, MBA-Banking, MBA-Capital Market, MBA-HR, MBA-Pharmaceutical Management (SOURCE: Leading Business School in India NMIMS School of Business Management |Top B School in India NMAT)

PGDM means Bangalore/Hyderabad Campus

This implies
"Shortlisted for GD/PI of FTMBA" means you are selected for GD/PI for all FullTime Courses at Mumbai Campus.
"Shortlisted for GD/PI of PGDM" means you are selected for GD/PI for PGDM course at Bangalore/Hyderabd Campus


3. ATTESTING a. No Need to attest : Score Card, GD/PI Letter, SOP (SOURCE : Call to Admission Cell)

b. Need to Attest (10th, 12th & Graduation Marksheets/Certificates)

c. Do I need to attest WorkEx (as the person doesn't want to attest private company documents)?

4. GD/PI REGISTRATION FEES : Totally Rs.950 has to be paid even if selected for more than one program

8. CHANCE OF CONVERTING AT 208: Absolutely Possible. Many in past have done so (SOURCE:Seniors)

9. % BREAKUP IN FINAL SELECTION : NMAT Score - 70%, GD - 7.5%, PI - 7.5%, ACADS - 10% and WORKEX - 5%. This is for last year. This breakup are announced at time of GD/PI. (SOURCE: Last year GD/PI discussion at PG and NMIMS professor interview @ some website)

10. FEES (for 2011) = Rs.466000 for 1 year. Hostel fee is additional Rs. 125,000 (Boys) and 140,000 (Girls) + a deposit of 10000 (both hostels). The hostel fee does not include food. 11. Will there be a second list? For GD/PI there shouldnt be a second list. There can be more than 1 merit list for final admissions (SOURCE: Leading Business School in India NMIMS | School of Business Management Top B School in India NMAT)


12. HOW LONG THE PROCESS TAKES? There is a GD/PI on 27th FEB at 9:00 AM for MBA Core and at 1:00 PM for MBA HR. So the process should not take more than 4-5 hours. But Mumbai traffic is unpredictable.

13. HOW IS THE 70% WEIGHTAGE FOR NMAT SCORE IN FINAL BREAKUP CALCULATED?

14. 'COMMUNITY' field in main form? Can be left blank (SOURCE: Call to Admission Cell)

15. CAN I CHANGE THE ORDER OF MY PREFERENCES? No (SOURCE: Seniors)

16. SOP - Typed or Handwritten? Both are fine. Preference is for Typed (esp. if you have bad handwriting)

17. Can I deliver the documents by hand? Absolutely

But i have got a call only for PGDM with 200 cut-off.. What is the problem? I have cleared all cut-offs in my first attempt. :

1)Now should i mention completed or appearing in my graduation status?I am in the final year now?
2)Also should i write the year of completion of both graduation and post-graduation as one and the same?(as i will get a combined degree)
3)what is the name of the degree??(the course like chemical or the degree offered ,which is M.Sc integrated)

i guess you shudn't mention abt graduation as it is an integrated course,but it would be better if you get it clarified from authorities..

A few questions:
1. Can seniors guide me on SOP? Like, what should be in it, word limit, on what paper (plain/lined) to write, printed or handwritten?
2. I am planning to reach Bombay on 4th and return on 5th itself. What do you suggest?
3. I had a few backs in my engineering and I didn't clear two papers. Would that be a problem? The papers which I didn't clear have "audit" against them in the marksheets. Though I have completed my degree in 4 years, the two papers remain uncleared.
4. Will a consolidated marksheet of my B.Tech do instead of marksheets of each semester?
5. Any other suggestions are welcome!

Can you please tell me aproxx how far is the interview center from the Airport. I am thinking to take a flight which reaches Mumbai at 7:30 am and got my reporting at 9:00am. Please guide. Incase it takes more than and hour or so I will look for another flight.

Let me just state this for all :

Even if you have a score of 208 , you have a chance for Mumbai and for all the courses including Core.... It is not something impossible ... Focus on the GD-PI now .That is what is in your hands now. All the best to all !

SOP is not to be attested ....About work-ex , i am not too sure ...maybe my work-ex batchmates can help you out ....

There is no separate scorecard as such.The scorecard and gp/pi letter received on the NMIMS site is your official scorecard and call letter.

I've been shortlisted for Core,HR and PGDM...so

1.documents 2 sets each for all three of them or just 2 sets for Core and HR
2. If I don't intend to attend the HR process will i still have to send documents for the above to be eligible for the whole process or my candidature will be cancelled.
3. If i don't go for the HR process obviously i won't have to send a SOP for HR also...

Hey Puys...seriously the guys at NMIMS have gone nuts..I mean just 1 centre across India!!..I personally noe around 20 guys in Delhi who have a call from NMIMS...there are atleast 100 such people in Delhi and many more if we take into account people from the entire north region ( Punjab, Haryana, UP, Uttarakhand, J&K; etc.) and since all the trains are booked it turns into a hefty amount of about 7k for air tickets..(this includes taxi charges to and from airport )...this amount is even more for pple who hv morning slot since they may ave to arrive a day before and will hv to pay 4 accommodation too..all this translates into about 15 lakh Rs !!!...if instead NMIMS sends a panel to Delhi then even after including travelling by first class and stay at a good hotel I am sure this won't be more than 2-3 Lakhs...( they should use some management I guess )...so I am creating this database of all aspirants of North region..pls chip in the details and I hope to take this to the Dean and the concerned authorities..I believe it will have much more effect if we all do this collectively rather than calling the admin office individuallly...heres the link...

Your logic is totally justified and I second you on that. But do you think NMIMS don't have that database???
It has been a tradition of hosting the GD PI at Mumbai campus only & I doubt they will change it.
I suggest we can request NMIMS seniors to pitch in & see if they can help.

How does the preference for which mba work? I'm super confused.

FT and PGDM are separate in priority right? For eg., If i've filled up MBA(FT) -Core, Banking, Capital (in the order of preference) and then PGDM(b then h), so if I get banking or capital, can i opt for PGDM if i get thru, its separate right?

Try and get them attested by any Gazetted Officer in your locality and not necessarily from your college authorities.
