nmims bangalore had to re call new applicants in 2nd phase because enough quality applicants were not there...

plus this 2011 2013 batch would be a 2nd batch no legacy batches or clubs etc which usually are already their with old colleges

and total investments goes way beyond 11.5 lacks including hostel ?

the buliding is awesome looks like a mnc office of 4 floors...

buddy you're absolutely right..even i was in same dilemma...i got calls from,IIM-A(AGBM),IIM-K,SIMS,GIM and NMIMS-B.....now even i was thinking abt same...but all in all placemnt and all based on each ones peformance...and i don think you hav to worry about their placemnts..yes we dont know the actual figures...but i took my decision to attend their GD/PI aftr the seeing d growth of SIBM-B..now its not a comparision...but was sme situation...they are new in bangalore...and see their placemnt chart Growth....all n all..convert all your calls....and then we can choose the best...till then wats wrong in Attending GD/PI..:-)..ATB

I'm also (actually everyone) facing same dilemma. But right now looking to go for GD/PI. I don't have any other calls this year.:oops:. So just joined IT MNC. Meanwhile received mail to attend GD/PI for these campuses.

I think NM brand value is not that bad & considering the fact that there are not so many quality colleges(IIM-B, SIBM-B), NM would not be a bad choice.

BUt let's see.Just trusting NM brand Name. :cheerio:

i scored 184, cleared cut off for Banglore and Hyderabad campus. So what is the pattern they are giving the calls to the students who even did not applied for campuses other thn mumbai.

I been to this campus
looks more like a office...
hostel(in a society @ Rs 10000 / month) is 4 kms away from building so u might miss that residential campus type feeling and outdoor sports etc.

i think they didnt receive enough applications as it is a new college and their fee is 10 lack plus...

and no idea about concrete placement figures as of now as 1st batch is in their summers only...

Big risk to take with a lot of money to put in and and no legacy of older batches as such...

it might turn out to be a good b school or it might turn out to be a dud as well...

Only time will tell....

and u have to go to bangalore for interviews as their application process and placement process everything is seperate from main campus...

hi guys....i saw all the quieries reagrding bangalore/hyderabd call...now amnt a student of NMIMS...but am a banglorean and i already given NMIMS banaglore Interview.....now as far as my knowledge extends i wil lshare wateve i know about the college....
now till now 7dayz of GD/PI taken wth average 9ppl in a slot..and its 2slot/day....so they called almost 140-150 ppl for 120seats in banaglore+ 60seats in hyderabad....same day i asked the lady thr,and she just smiled and said "we dont mind even keeping few seats Empty".....hmm kinda quality oriended i guess...
Now CAMPUS :- ....college looks like some multinational office at first look..and its worth...as i heard they had plans to expand it...and as for now..the campus is more than enough for a batch of 60students(Previous batch) and some EPE guys...and place like koramangala...its tough to get a campus like that:)..check out their roof top cafe...i find it intersting:oops::)
HOSTEL :- didt aw it..but i got a brochure on the day i given my GD/PI..and for amazing facilities and twin sharing rooms they are taking 9400bucks:)..which is quite reasonable...still...you can even try outside..and trust me if u own a bike here,u will know how fun it wil be here:)(Ping me regrding this,once u converted the call and decided to join):cheerio:.
PLACEMENTS:- now figures even i hav no idea..but i like their course structure a lot specially the SAP part..thats y i opted only Bangalore Campus even after 220 in NMAT(i was not confident of it till i saw my results).but i dont REgret this decision....in banaglore..after IIM-B u wont hear anyother B-School as famous as that...despite 1000's of them open daily here...SIBM started their campus i guess 2 years back..and u can see the progress...and NMIMS.will be just one step ahead than them...as far as i beleive....just heard from on guy who actually sold the building to NMIMS ppl that the summer placements are worth...and i dont think placemnt will be a issue here....not promoting the college just my opinion.

Should we go for B'lore/H'bad campus? I'm not doubting NM brand but still these are new campuses.

Sorry for posting really late...hope me sharing my experience helps people
I had my interview on march 1st....we were only around 8 people in that slot. We dint have any presentation as such nor any question answer session, so I am quiet clueless about the placement scene. We were called for our GD...had a good GD ! The topic was " Is a common man better off in India than US?" It went on for 15 minutes. The panelists were good...good faculty members (external faculty) the one I interacted with told me that he was a faculty from IRMA ! This was then followed by PI round each of us was grilled for 15-20 mins by the panelists who were present for the GD.
All of us in that batch were people with work ex ! Also people with different scores were present...there was a girl with 239 someone with 145 my score is 185...so it was a mix !
But just 8 people for one slot was a little surprising !
Overall it was ok.

Hey... I too had my GD PI on 3rd morning... Ah... I was in the group where 4 ppl were there... GD topic: Has the growth in the IT sector hurt the growth in the manufacturing sector... ?

Agrrr... In two mins flat we had exhausted... Every1 calmly spking... Then we just filled in the odd silence with repetitive points... But over all no fish market... Then PI...... At ease... No grilling... Very matured conversation... And we were made to project our realistic self... Very sweet panelists... Never did they put us in a tight spot... Over all a very positive and uplifting process... Guys... I'd say... Just chill not much technical stuff just general queries abt ur self, goals, ambitions etc...
