yes .. atleast last year the admissions were not locked .. and it went uptil 2 weeks after the commencement of the classes ...
u see it all trickles down .. as the IIM wtlist moves .. and sessions in all the IIMs begin .. sm where in the beginning of july ..

dude .. u have decent chances .. but u might have to wait .. wtlist clearance will happen uptil the end of june I guess .. so all I can say is.. be patient .. I know its easier said than done .. but we are all sailing on the same boat .. we just have to wait a bit longer .. !!

XIMB admission office has accepted my wait list seat cancellation. I sent an email, they accepted it in like 15 minutes flat.

I have got to know from orkut community and newspaper that XIMB is going to open new campus in BOLINGIR, and the course here would be rural management (120 intake, where as present is 60 at Bnwr)

but questions that haunt my mind are-

1 Is it that after opening of new campus the existing program of RM at Bhubnewshwar will be closed?

2 what is advantage of this ? why it is done so?

3 Benefits like few same faculties common for both the programs will be available no more. Atmosphere and library facilites XIMB developed in so many years will there b all available ? Availbility of good pool of faculties in new campus ?

4 how far placement will be affected as if location/campus of program is shifted frm bnwr ?

4 when new college will get functioning?

Please seniors throw some light on advantages and disadvantages of this step.

friend frankly speaking its pretty difficult....The waitlist movement has been very slow after the 1st movement...Hope you get through but dont close other options bcoz of this.....I guess there are amny ppl yet to withdraw still...so u never know....

Back on this thread after long time and its gr8 to know WL is moving.
Still 20 days for the course to commence and all the IIM wls to move.
A good movement is expected in all the colleges of the country.
So hold on people,joy is juz around the corner.

well i contacted the admision office ...they gave me the student representative's no ...n he sent some mails abt the loan schemes ...maybe u cud do the same .....also i talked with the fortune tower,bhubaneswar branch of sbi n i came to know that only in that branch the interest rate is 9.75 for girls n 10.25 for boys .....in all other branches of sbi it is 2% more...and i got the loan form ...there r colums where we can include laptop cost...n other expenses
