Yes you would get a money receipt by POST.

I posted through Speed Post on 13th April from Chennai and still the website shows not Delivered.

I just now called the admin. office and they told that the DD is received.

So better call admin. office and get the confirmation.

When i had called the admissions offc to enquire abt receipt of my DD, I had asked them the same question. they told me that the WL movement will b updated in their website after 20th April.

The Institute of Minerals and Materials Technology (formerly Regional Research Laboratory(RRL), Bhubaneswar) is very close to XIMB, about 500 meters away.
So ur DD will be received on Monday in all probability

I am sorry if I am being off-topic.
But I wanted to ask people who have converted their call, what might be the reason that I could not even make to the wait-list even after having a good GD/PI. I think this is going to hurt me all my life. I had got the IIFT result still I was keen on this one. Can anybody tell me what can it be. It would be really helpful for me as I have to appear for many interviews in future.

P.S. IIMC (PGDM) and XIM-B were the only two interviews in which I thought after the process "sure shot". But results told me otherwise.

don't feel hurt @ all... The XIMB interviewers found u tooo good for this college! they cud perhaps know from their past experience that u wud b getting a seat @ some other even more prestigious college (read IIMC).
so they straightaway didn't take u, to make place for other ppl who wud join instead. anyway, u were not gonna join here.

well ashish ..

actually I believe there wud be 120 confirm calls each for domicile and non doimicile chaps ( considering the fact that there are 50 % seats for Orissa domicile )
so I think , WL 1 for Domicile should be ranked 121 and not 241 ..

This totally means that 241st candidate is WL1..This is something that is practiced by many B-Schools...XIMB has been following this for some years now

two waiting list one for orissa aand other for non-orissa
orissa 48 persons

last yeays information pgdbm
160 confirmed calls for 120 seats
later 60 seats increased
single waiting list
went till 292

just curious to know if my ridiculous high WL number may get cleared....
can anyone tell if they have XIM(both confirmed and WL) and some other college and are NOT planning to join XIM. wanna know how many people in the WL will move up. last yr i checked, someone having WL 250(approx) got accepted. since last yr it was a combined WL for domicile and non-domicile, this yr can we expect the last person to get cleard to have half the WL numbers?

can anyone tell if there will be any other WL clearing after the forthcoming one on 21st Apr?

It means those who are confirmed ..and their admission is sure if they complete all the formalities...

that's why they are provisionally selected...admission subject to completing all requirements..

No need to send any thing...just scan the net generated/pdf print the slip up on money transfer through internet banking and attach it to ur mail(address given in the offer letter) also in the mail write hostel option for both u will get acknowledged, as was in my case.

**882 is the SBI one.paid and got acknowledgement on the other day. one advantage of net is u can print the slip in pdf and attach it no need to scan the slip

I transferred my amount to the sbi account via EFT. Called up the admission office to confirm, but they said they will send me an e-mail.

The online SBI transfer is the easiest and the fastest. Completed my payment in seconds and got the acknowledgment too. For future purposes, fill the application and avail online facility

i have a problem regarding registration. I am doing an intern in Bangalore and my last date is till June 18th. I can reach Bhubaneswar earliest by 21st. I have heard that the admissions division is considerate to some extent. Will it be a problem if I reach the campus 5 days later???..have to book my tickets accordingly..so please reply..thank u in advance!!!

It should not be an issue. But do put a mail to admissions office and dean academics. Also make a point to call them and talk about it. Do whatever is required from your part so that they dont have a reason against you..

But dude my personal opinion is try to be on time coz the first few days at XIMB are memories that you will carry forward. you dont wanna miss the fun of the first few days.. I promise later u will find yourself out of place.

RRL BBSR should be the distribution center for the package I guess (RRL - Regional Research Laboratory Campus is pretty close to XIMB). Should get delivered today by 4 PM... or latest tomorrow by noon.

You can call up again by say 5 pm this evening and confirm the same.

They have indicated that receipts of payment will be sent after 19th April. But the quickest way to confirm that ur payment is received is to call up admissions office or email them and check.

Vishal, you could have mentioned your hostel room preference on the DD as well. But in any case, I guess single rooms would be allotted by default. You can call on them in 2-3 days and confirm the receipt of payment.

No details yet on the return policy, maybe seniors can share some info.
