People I am in a big big dilemma right now.First I want to know whether Dalmia will consider Dec. MAT Score...?Secondly, I've scored 81.3 % (637) in Dec. What are the colleges that you think I should apply to.

I am appearing for Feb mat as well as for cet..and i a non-Mh resident.
Do i have a fair chance against all the reservations for Mh students?
What is the method of conversion..do i have to fill a separate form?
Is it true that the higher of the 2 marks( febmat and mh cet )would be considered?
Do we have to fill separately for individual collges in mh cet application?

80%tile in cat should be a safe score.
Marketing is good as well. Infact, this year the person who got the highest placement of 11 lakhs p.a. is from marketing :)
Marketing proffersors are also too good.

Here is a simple explanation:

PGDBM - Only CAT and MHCET Scores (converted not allowed)
MMS - Only MHCET Scores (Converted allowed for all India Seats - refer to DTE rules)
MMS Minority - Only MHCET (Converted not allowed) Maharastra Domicile and Mother tongue as HINDI mandatory.

There are 2 courses

For PGDBM - Only cat and cet accepted.


For MMS - only cet for maharashtra seats.

cet or the converted score which ever is higher for all india seats. (so you can give mat for this category)
These seats are for maharashtra and outside maharashtra both.

Expected cut off for mms would be 99%tile in written cet and a decent gdpi. For pgdbm cut off depends on the no. of applications.

Forms for pgdbm are not out yet. May be in the month of feb.

HINDI MINORITY means exactly which people..????

These are some points

1. There are 61 seats

2. Only cet scores are considered and not the converted ones. (converted from mat, atma, etc)

3. Must be domicile of maharashtra.

4. Mother tongue must be hindi

5. Parent and candidate must be native of any of the following states
Rajasthan, Bihar, jharkhand, UP, MP, HP, Delhi, chattisgarh, Haryana, Uttarakhand.

The documents required for hindi minority

1. Only an affidavit stating that your native to one of the above state and mother tongue is hindi.

As i mentioned in my earlier post, pls check "MANDATORY DISCLOSURE" on the site. All queries are covered there.

All companies that came to the campus were good companies. May be some were small in size, but few students prefer such companies as the learning experience is very good.

Fee for pgdbm is expected to be 145000 p.a. (including laptop, blazer, book, etc)

Placement: Avg ctc was 4.75

For pgdbm only cat and cet(feb 2009) scores are considered. No other scores are considered.

There are no reservation and no donation seats. All seats are purely on merit.
It is very difficult to predict the cut off. Last year there was no cut off and everybody got a call. This year its not going to be the same.

The seats are distributed as under

Mumbai university = 41
OHU = 9
OMS = 9
Hindi minority = 61
J K = 1
Total = 121

Yes, Feb mat score can be converted to cet (for any mms/mba course where admission is done by dte) but again only for all india seat which is only 15% of total seats.

When i said only cat and cet scores are accepted, i was refering to pgdbm. For pgdbm the converted score is not accepted and only written cet score is considered.
