Guys, the thread is to post your profiles, and not say in the 'Lucknavi andaz' - your profile is better than mine.

Nope...only my XAT percentile, and XII marks are better.

In comparison:

X (ICSE) -- 85.8%
XII (AP) -- 93.2% (this is not such a big deal in AP)
Engg -- ~74-75%
XAT -- 99.83 %ile.

Apart from that, I haven't done anything extraordinary extra curricular.

I had been to jamshedpur few days back to get the loan processed from SBI
This is how it went

Day 1: I was asked to open a joint account with my dad.Then filled the loan form and insurance form.
Day 2: No work.Think they send all the documents to the main SBI branch on day 2.Main SBI branch is called SBI RACPC.
Day 3: Went to RACPA and signed few documents and thts it, my loan was processed.

SBI at XL actually processed the loan for the XL students pretty fast.

first of all congrats man...and ya first of all pay the first installment from ur pocket coz loan might take some 10 days to get approved after you have done all your paper work...once the loan is through you can get it reimbursed as welll....party time,,,hey do you know how many people are form delhi or around:cheerio:

Congrats on the convert! Just try talking to the SBI branch manager to expedite the process somehow. Also, talk to the Admissions department and try to delay the payment by a few days if you can.

In addition, if you can come up with the first installment yourself, do that and then get it reimbursed from the bank once it approves your loan.

Last year's status was BM - 63, PMIR - 24 (with only 60 seats)

All right guys, here's some good news.

I am WL 46 in PMIR. About 45 minutes ago, I got an e-mail confirming that I have been selected for the programme. :)

So I can confirm that the WL has moved at least until 46! :)

The answer is yes... But situation clears only after A,B,C release their shift iin waitlist...

i never had much hope of making it... but waitlist clearing only till 31 is very surprising... it is very unlikely that the final movement would be beyond 50...
ATB and there is no point in groaning those who have made... at least fight with grace... and anyways i will be back in '09 and that too with a bang

i've finally cleared the hurdle and made my dream come true. converted xl. was at wl 24, got cleared today. thanks all puys for sharing ur valuable xperience which helped not only in xlri but in all the GD/PIs I attended.i am very very very happy 2da..thanx every1..looking forward to meet u all in XLRI on 15th June!!!!

There will be no information on the XLRI website..I am sure that the ones who clear will get mail from the admissions, but for those who havent will have to dig up how much the waitlist has moved from the admissions office..So whoever gets the info should put it up here, and we shldnt pester them wid calls obv...

i would also request those waitlisted candidates who get a confirmation(whenever it is..), to post the details on the forums..It will help the waitlists to follow..

Well, I decided for IIFT Delhi over PMIR because I wanted to follow my heart. Met some HR managers and senior managers of my organisation, met alumni from both the colleges, did a lot of research, and finally decided in favour of IIFT D. And btw, I am not alone. There are others leaving XL-PMIR for NITIE and other colleges this year, and quite a few people who left PMIR for IIFT last year as well, so I think it all boils down to one's choice.

well mate you really dont need to tell that there are other people doing the same to justify your decision ...its your life and ur choice and what YOU want to do ....i respect and back your decision ....:|...well this choice discussion has completely shifted the focus from the much needed question i asked at the first place ...do you know any more people doing the same and if yes how many?...ill be glad if you tell////
