can u help first timers like mee to crack it.
how to prepare?
my DI is pathetic, i dont know how to improve it.
EU passages n tht too inferential ones are like latin n greek for me.

plz advice how to start?

Well a major difference b/w CAT and XAT is the font and paragraph style.

I feel, the paper was well balanced in terms of toughness in all the three sections.

LR - 38
QA/DI - 44
VA - 38
Total - 120

1/4th negative for the first 6 wrong ans in each sec
and 1/2 for subsequent wrong ans....

am not too sure of if my attempts were sufficient esp in the LR sec (Analytical Reasoning). attempted just 13 :(

Hello @falguni....

well i guess to get a call is difficult for u just b cos of ur QA score which is very less for XIMB.....ur other 2 sections are decent enough....
even am in same trouble though i have good cutoofs in all sections bt OA i hv 87% n am a orissa candidate bt still i dont hv any chances....

still i can say keep ur finger crossed...bt chances are nill...

Of course there is sectional cutoff for domicile students.......
U cannt expect XIMB to lower is standard for Oriya stud,no offence meant as i m too a Oriya......

The section is arnd 3-4%tile lower than general candidates and so is overall..........

But dis is for call only,after tat u r on ur own

ppl, can somebody help me? i gave the exam at anna adarsh college for women, chennai. i was alloted a separate room, even though i had received my admit card, but my number was not present in the room it had to be. and i hadnt got the photo verification done too. so i did as was told and saw the guy who was conducting the examination there (his name was carlton). i thought all would go well,but today when i checked the results, it said i hadn't given the examination. i dunno but things wernt going right with xlri right from the start. after cat fiasco, such a result is far more depressing. can anybody help? please?
