@yashvora26 most commonly tested errors are related to modifiers, parallelism and verb tenses
Other errors are tested too (punctuation etc.) but not as much. Spelling errors are not tested under grammar, unless the incorrectly spelled word means something else....
The ans should be 1)only D.
corrections-:
a) assist is followed by in/with. in dis case it shud be "assist chemical reactions in breaking down ozone"
b)'to' needs to me removed...it shud be - making them break apart.
c)'many an' is incorrect usage
"Large reductions" is correct ?should it be "Large reduction" ?

b has a blatant error - "making them break apart" is a verb modifier so we must be sure what is it modifying and refer the context of usage. "making" makes no sense here. Incorrect. C also is incorrect - "many an..." - it should be "many of the ....". Dont take it a standard rule that "many + ar...
In sentece corrction, what kind of errors are we expected to spot?Will there be any punctuation and spelling errors? Also, will there be any errors relating to capital letters (eg. Mumbai written as mumbai)

It is often found that these previous year question banks have sometime wrong options given in the answer sheet... don't worry. Always trust ur knowledge, and don't lose ur confidence...

rather than can be followed by a noun or a verb. instead of is always followed by a noun - "of" signifies the need of a noun as an object of a preposition. hope this helps !!

@ankit043 I guess this shuld clear: Normally than is used in the comparative degree, but with words like superior, inferior, senior, junior, prior, anterior 'to' is used..

1) "The road is under repair" is definitely right.
2) Two-thirds of the work is completed.
