I need help,
I am 22 and completed my graduation in BBA from IP univ and currently in market research firm,bt want to switch over to financial research profile
i am very confused as to how to proceed on this,
i know that i want to do MBA only from any top 10 B-school,I am mad to get into IIIMs. Many a times i dream with open eyes and see myself sitting with IIM Puys in library.
But i m also interested in doing CFA and will be giving level 1 in May 09.
So how will i proceed on this matter as i will be 25 when i will complete my CFA with 3 years experience and then i will study for CAT.

Please suggest me on this matter as to how should i proceed.

I didn't find any clear cut rules for differentiating the usage of if and whether. There is difference is sense of usage of if and whether, which can be better understood by reading more and more.

"Tell me whether it is correct or not"
Seldom we say "Tell me if it is correct or not".

If is not used generally instead of whether, if whether is used in a sentence with or i.e. having the above sentence structure.

most of the times whether is used in the sentence which leads to answer in yes or no only. this is my observation, i may be wrong.

I got the point in case when who and whom are in interrogative position.Byt what about ...when it is not used as and interrogative pronoun but as a relative pronun....like .....I met the guy who had studied in London ...here it is clear that it will be who ...but there are cases where we have to decide b/w who and whom ...e.g
I met the guy who/whom they kicked...here it will be whom ..but It will be better if u suggest better approach to decide...

Grammar is one of the major horizontal on which the whole verbal section of any exam rests..be it Sentence corection,Usage,Jumbled,FIJ's...nything....and its beyond doubt that it's one of the worst nightmares for any aspirant be it CAT,XAT,GMAT...

our modulus operandi will be basic lessons,exercises and then advanced topics....

there will be no rushing through the topics...we will start from scratch and as we proceed we will continously keep a guage on our preperation.....

I very well know that i am not as good in grammar as Wren or Martin so i need continuos feedbacks from everone..lets all participate and make this thread as one of the best online repository on GRAMMAR....

hi @rocha ...seems like the first sentence would be wrong..:because, mahalaxmi and her two daugthers implies there are 2 subjects, 1)mahalaxmi, 2) her 2 daughters...the verb following daughters should be plural and not singular... hence , instead of 'she has' it shld be 'they have' ...hope i'm clear...
