Commonly confused Words Verbal

One of the question types in CAT asks you to choose suitable options between commonly confused words, such as counsellor and councillor, or between superficially similar words such as genuine and sanguine.
So I thought of starting a thread with an aim to tackle such kind of questions.

10.Can you peel/peal the apples for me?
