First of all miltond....
Calm down.... Secondly, i dont expect u to get so riled up.... not esp.... when u havent understood anything whatesoever i have written.... Man! u are shoving personal attacks at me... even i can call ur statement to be ridiculous nincompoop lines but learn to respect others point of views....miltond| Says
That statement disgusts me. It's regressive! It's also contradictory to all the faff you have been harping upon of our society now being in the throes of decadence, with the slew of B-grade movies being released, compared to how it was 20 years ago with better movies.
faff?? if u really think i was pulling a faff.... then i suggest, u first read the complete thread before posting...What i am intending to compare in those lines was the quality of movies.... 20 or 30 yrs earlier, u would have seen proper movies with a good story, people dressed nicely and there is some meaning to it....
Compare it with the storyline now? Totally gibberish.... See the actoresses, compare the storyline and u will find that at each stage it is nothing but trying to provoke lechering attitude in audience.... It is pretty obvious though, isnt it.... with people wanting to make money and trying to succed in this horde of getting ahead.... they want to attract more and more... and who are the most possible victims to it.... Rickshwa-wallahs.... not educated people like me and u.... but illitrate people.... who are attracted to this bawdy entertainment... The quality of movies has degraded so much... that i would rather prefer to call each one of them as soft porn rather than anything else.... save 1 or 2 good hindi movies.... Was this the case earlier.... Agreed, porn and B-grade movies existed even then.... but did u ever feel watching a normal amitabh bacchan movie or a shammi kapoor movie, that u are watching something, which would be be so embarrassing to watch with ur family....
This is what the comaprison has been with...
Yeah. I have a suggestion for you. Lets dress up all the women in a lot of cloth. Why, lets go ahead and have a "dress code" which says don't show any skin, caus it "excites men" who can't keep their ***** from jumping out of their pants at the sight of skin.
Why can't you accept that women can be bold and feminine. Being feminine does'nt equate to being meek and vice versa. It's regressive mindsets like yours that contribute to the present faff about dress codes for women( and men) being thrown up.
Where does the right to personal choice go??? If I was told that women get very excited seeing men in Khakis, and I was forced to wear only denim through the summer, simply caus it excited other women, Wouldn't I feel violated already? You're taking away my right to choice
Who said anything about clothing women in a lump of cloth or they can't move around freely..... U probably never understood the clear meaning of it.... Buddy, what i mean here is that there are so many females who dress rather provocatively.... maybe intentional, may not be intentional.... but still..... wearing a too small dress like a micro mini is also bringing some negative vibes..... I dont say they do anything wrong..... but the fact is that it does bring in the negative vibes.... Let them be bold....but at the same time, take care... of their clothing....
When they are in public, why should they wear backless dresses..... clothes are meant to hide the skin.... not to reveal it.... and noone said that u wear clothes to hide all the skin u have on ur body too..... wear clothes sensibly....!!
I occasionally live with a bunch of friends. When we wake up, and switch on the dumb tube , and there might be visuals of emraan haashmi and udita goswami making out. When we walk down outside our buildings, there might be very racy movie posters strewn on the walls outside.
However, it's your choice to change the damn TV channel or look at the damn posters. Also, after watching the well shot visuals and movie posters (like we usually do), it should make us more libidinous (by your skewed logic) and go out and objectify women. That's some very ridiculous logic. Porn, Racy movies, B grade flicks have been around for ever and will always be around! Adult entertainment is one of the the world's largest industry.
Who is talking about u or ur friends..... this discussion is more oriented to rather non-sensical people.... Agreed u do that.... but there are many, who dont..... they rather get so influenced by it.... that they see ever girl they see, like udita clad with only a bed sheet..... It is this mentality that causes them to become villains.... Ur conscience may be strong enuf.... but that's not the case with everyone....
consider a guy, who is heavily affected by it.... In our society, sex and its knowledge have been given a brand name... 'taboo' and so, u can say that the first time, he ever sees something, even if it is related to sex knowledge, only during his prime....maybe around 17-18.... By this time, his instincts are so strong.... and since there is no one to guide him... we seeks the help of his friends and such bawdy movies..... Do u think, that such a guy would have the courage to talk to his mother and father about it.... NEVER.... all it does is, increases his perversion.....
If he has been brought in a good family background, like u, he would desist all such feelings and would always move in a righteous path.... but what about a fellow from a poor family, who never had any proper education???
I leave the point here..... because, i believe the rest u can figure it out from here....
What we need is gender sensitization, rather that chauvinistic opinions (that sadly very often actually get implemented)
Yes, we sure do need gender sensitization....
and
chauvinistic opinions....?? this clearly shows that u havent read any of posts properly, because i have claimed it earlier, that all my approaches are non-chauvinistic.....
With this, i sincerely hope, u will refrain from using personal attacks henceforth!
