Answer for this question,according to me is :the boy is wearing overcoat and having umberealla with him.
The boy over 16 can wear overcoat but no boy over 15 can wear cap.So one cannot wear overcoat and cap at the same time.
A boy with umberella or above 16 or both cannot wear sweater.In order to watch football wearing sweater is forbidden by the condition.
When a boy is wearing cap to carry umberella at the same time sounds absurd.So the boy above 16 wearing overcoat and having umberella with him is watching football.

Please tell me if my answer is correct or not.Please help.

I can subtract 6 from 36 just once because after that I will be subtracting 6 from 30 and not from 36.

First Step: 36 - 6 = 30

Second Step: 30 - 6 = 24

Now the king has to find out the poison bottle so that the remaining 39 bottles of wine can be used for the party. The king has 20 prisoners who have been awarded death penalty. At the expense of his prisoners the king has to find out the poision bottle.

The property of the poison is such that no matter how much ever quantity one consumes the poison will take effect only after 1 hour and therefore the person consuming the poison will die only after 1 hour.
So the king has to find poison bottle within 1 hour so that the party can be started on time. What should the king do??

he has to use 6 of his prisoners. as 2^6>40

suppose the prisoners are 1,2,3,4,5,6

and botlles are 1,2 ...40

Here are the solutions :)



divide 25 horses in 5 groups for 5 races...
Now take toppers of all the races for another race....6th Race
Now in this race the 4th and 5th are out because we want only top 3....
2nd and 3rd of the group of third horse in 6th race are also out...as they will have position lower than 3 in 25 horses togethar...
3rd horse of the group of second horse in 6th race is also out for same reason...
take tooper of 6th race out as this will be topper of all 25 horses...

Now we have 5 horses and we want top 2 of them....1 more race :)

Ans 7 races minimum....



Camel will need 5 bananas to transfer all the bananas 1 mile away...
5 as for 1st 1000 he'll go n come back then for another 1000 he'll go n come back but for last 1000 he'll only go as nothing will be left behind...

For second mile too it'll take 5 bananas...

Now it'll require 5 bananas per mile for total banana count > 2000
and for banana count < 2000 it'll eat 3 bananas...

and for < 1000 it'll eat 1 banana....

so 1st 1000 bananas will be finished in 1000/5 = 200 Miles
next 1000 in 1000/3 = 334 Miles...

Finaly he'll have 1000 bananas and 466 miles to go...

At B camel will have 534 bananas :)

half-way back. Here, 6000 miles from base, he is met by C (1/2 full)
who has travelled from the other side of the globe,
and they share C's fuel.

This is enough to get them to a rendezvous with B (3/4 full) at a point
3000 miles out. B now tops up A and C, each then having just enough for
the last 3000 miles.well done guys.

well I am late in posting da soln ... but here goes
acc to me - 5 planes are reqd.Let A be the main plane and B C D E be fuelers.
ABC start ... At 3000miles C puts in A 3000 and waits ... A B continue.
at 6000 miles , B puts 3000 in A and comes back to C where C puts 3000 in B and B ,C return to base.

Now A which has 12000 miles worth fuel - goes to 18000 miles ... meanwhile ... D E have started from other side ... E is waiting at 21000 miles ... D is waiting at 18000 miles where it puts 3000 miles in A . A
