i worked for 9 mnths in a KPO..but as the new company was under incorporation..i left the job n now i do not have any proof like joining letter or experience letter of wrkng there
the company refused 2 give any document after that...
now the problem is that whthr i should tell them the truth or to stuck in the question that wt wr u doing since last one n half year:banghead::-(

It will create problem for you if you will admit working in a company you dnt have documented proof.Make sure wtever detail you furnish in the application form is supported by documents.
If in interview they ask if you worked anywhere?
You can say that you were working in a startup KPO company and you dnt have any proof of that so didnt mentioned it in the application form.(everyone knows about private sector companies and their behavior with employees)That way you can save yourself but make sure not to fake it.dnt tell a lie they will catch you

Make sure not to give anything in written that can trouble you later

A.P.R(Annual Percentage Rate):The yearly cost of a loan ,including intersest,insurance etc. ,expressed as a percentage.

mentioning mba will be a additional advantage but u still have backlogs so be prepared for the answer of this question

59.99 will also be not allowed.

Hi Guys,I am new to this forum.
Have secured a decent score in IBPS Exam and applied for interview in Syndicate Bank ,Bank of India and more recently Canara Bank.
Wanted to share one more fact,though the eligibility criteria in interview was set as 125 for Union Bank,the criteria was later made(final selection for interview) as 166 for General and 152 for SC/ST's.

Had my SBI interview today at Gurgaon. Was a horror. GD was ok, Topic - " Is Judiciary crossing its brief"
In interview the questions were fine but probably my preparations were not up to the mark. Some questions
Q. Name some wild life sanctuary of South India ?
Could tell a few of North India
Q. Who is Misa Bharti ? What is her qualification ?
A Answered she is Lalu Yadav Daughter. Guessed her qualification as Engineer which is wrong
Q. 3 people who won Bharat Eatna in 1954 ?
A. I replied 1 as Jawahar lal nehru which was wrong as he received in 1955 or 1956
Till this time my confidence was at utmost low so missed 1 comparatively easier question.
Q. Where is Jaitpur Power Plant
A. Till this time my confidence was at utmost low so missed this comparatively easier question though i have read abt it.
Q. Where Kauvery river meets the sea ?
A. Again a sad faced sorry sir

D docs got verified by 09:30am and then aftr d break we wer all asked 2 go to the library for GD.....there were around 11-12 of us....were mad to sit around a rectngulr tabl facing each oda.....d panel came.....4 of dem....2 were sbi retired officals, 1 was prsntly workin wid sbi and d 4th was a retired IPS officr.........

The reason for coming to public bank are 1.the security of job is better 2. timing schedule is better 3. brand value is better 4.work pressure is manageable

I am confident of my selection but if I am not selected I wont depressed.selection and rejection is part and parcel of the game.Every organisation want to get the best of employees. If i am not selected it mean I lacks something where I have to work and improve myself .I will work on that areas and apply again.

"Should Foreign Banks be allowed to enter India freely?"

Spoke against the topic citing global scenarios, 74% fdi allowed in private banks already, how RBI is yet not ready to let Foreign banks free entry, and about how foreign banks are catering only to the Corporate sectors only.

Very nice environment, felt at home.

INTERVIEW:

I. (1) What is the meaning of your name?
(2) Why did you leave your job?

II. (3) What is criticism, what do you do when you critically analyze a literary work?
(4) What do you like more, interpretation of history or the events of history itself?

(5) Also asked the name of a theorist in History, but could not answer that one (I had not studied any theory in History-being my subsidiary subject).

III. (6)What are your strengths which can help you perform in the banking sector?

I was pretty satisfied with the answers I gave and none of THE PANEL MEMBERS ever cross questioned me. Failed to answer one question (the theorist of history). Other than that, was able to answer all the others.

WEAR FORMALS (SARIS RECOMMENDED FOR LADIES) BECAUSE YOU WILL FIND ALL THE STAFFS WEARING FORMALS. TODAY IN MY BATCH, SOME PEOPLE CAME IN WIND PROOF ARMLESS JACKETS, SOME IN JEANS. WITH THE KIND OF DRESSING IN WHICH THE OFFICIAL PEOPLE WERE, IT LOOKED JUST A BIT DISRESPECTFUL.

FORMAT OF GD WAS THREE MINS TO WRITE DOWN POINTS, AND THEN TWO MINS FOR EACH TO SPEAK. THEN AS TIME WAS LEFT, ONE MIN FOR ANYONE WHO WANTS TO SPEAK. INTERRUPTION IS STRICTLY NOT ALLOWED AND ONE PERSON WAS MILDLY CHIDED FOR IT.

DONT LOOK AT THE PANEL WHEN GIVING GD. LOOK AMONG YOURSELVES. MANY PEOPLE WERE TALKING TO THE PANEL ONLY. BE ON TIME AND BE VERY RESPECTFUL TO ANYONE IN FORMALS THAT YOU FIND AT THE VENUE- THAT PERSON MAY JUST TURN OUT TO BE A MEMBER OF THE PANEL.

DURATION OF GD-30 MINS

DURATION OF INTERVIEW: 10 MINS (maybe somewhat more....FELT MUCH SHORTER THOUGH).

The panel was so nice, I forgot I was speaking to an interview panel. Now I am afraid because I don't remember how my body language was. I got so comfortable answering those questions. Fingers crossed.

Sharing my first Bank interview experience..PNB Dy. Manager(IT)..and I can say 1 thing for sure..It was one hell of a ride..
so let's come to the point...

We were called around 9 am in the morning. One Uncleji came and ask us to gather in the confrence room. As usual..start giving his gyaan...
Then the process of document verification started. But the good thing was that they have made 3 interview panels and during the document verification they were calling out the names for interview whose documents have been verified..

Also the panels were headed by General Managers and in 1 panel, the man himself Ajay Misra(IT head) was there.
Each panel was having 4 people.

My turn came around at 12:30 pm. Went in..4 people..so i will adress them as P1,P2(Sardarji),P3,P4...

Wished them..they offered me a seat.....

Game begins 3..2..1..

P2(Sardarji) - Ok..Toh aap Infosys se ho...wahan se yahan kyun aana chahte ho....(didn't expected ki itna informal hoga..direct Hindi)..
Me- Sir..Job Security..(he didn't let me finish aND CUT SHORT IN B/W)
P2- arrey Security..Infosys bhi sabse jyada secure hai..kisi ko nahi nikalti..apne murthy ki company hai(jaise iske bachpan ka dost hai aur iski partnership hai infosys mein)..sab uski haan mein haan milaane lage...But then I tried to give reasons but no..ups and downs toh hote rehte hain..recession aur slowdown bhi aate rehte hain...yeh bolo ki sarkari naukri chahiye aur kuch kaam nahi karna chahte ho..and then suddenly P3 started..

Me- Actually I am a Weblogic admin. in Deutsche Bank account..kuch samjhaya unhe..unke upar se nikal gaya..bas server samajh aaya unhe..acha acha Server par kaam karte ho!!.(aisa hi samajh lijiye sir)
P3: acha humare bank mein toh ye server(some name) use hota hai..Can you install that...(whatttttttttttt)..
Me: Definitely Sir..I will try to do it..will take the help of the documentation of that server and will definitely give my best to install it..and some more gyaan(Convinced)

P2 - Yeh toh koi logic nahi hua..humare bhi Nri clients hain..yeh sab cheezein sirf paper par achi lagti hain..realistic nahi hoti..(Sir aap meri poori baat sunoge tabhi toh I will be able to justify)...
P4 bhai neend se jaage - abhi ktna time ho gaya tumhe apni company mein..
Me- 1.4 years...
P4 - Koi bond nahi hai..
Me - Sir..1 saal ka tha..now it's over..
Then I takje the opportunity to speak that how much I want this job..
Me- Sir..I am really looking forward to this job..I came from Bangalore just for this and that too earlier it was scheduled for 12th..and then I have to reschedule it to 10th(kyunki PNB ka mann tha interview preponed karne ka)
P3 - toh chutti mil gayi tumhe..
Me - Yes sir
P3 - manager ko bataya ki interview dene jaa rahe ho
Me- No sir..(they started laughing) (I was puzzled..bhai joke nahi maar raha hoon..)

They asked me to leave...

Bhai in short...It was meant to be a technical interview and turned out into a (dont know..words would be less to define it)....They were really blunt..also aisa lag raha tha..ki soch liya hai..iski bas bajani hai..baja ke bhej do..I was really disappointed with it..anyways..i am almost out of the race..ATB to others...

"Should Foreign Banks be allowed to enter India freely?"

Spoke against the topic citing global scenarios, 74% fdi allowed in private banks already, how RBI is yet not ready to let Foreign banks free entry, and about how foreign banks are catering only to the Corporate sectors only.

Very nice environment, felt at home.

INTERVIEW:

I. (1) What is the meaning of your name?
(2) Why did you leave your job?

II. (3) What is criticism, what do you do when you critically analyze a literary work?
(4) What do you like more, interpretation of history or the events of history itself?

(5) Also asked the name of a theorist in History, but could not answer that one (I had not studied any theory in History-being my subsidiary subject).

I was pretty satisfied with the answers I gave and none of THE PANEL MEMBERS ever cross questioned me. Failed to answer one question (the theorist of history). Other than that, was able to answer all the others.

WEAR FORMALS (SARIS RECOMMENDED FOR LADIES) BECAUSE YOU WILL FIND ALL THE STAFFS WEARING FORMALS. TODAY IN MY BATCH, SOME PEOPLE CAME IN WIND PROOF ARMLESS JACKETS, SOME IN JEANS. WITH THE KIND OF DRESSING IN WHICH THE OFFICIAL PEOPLE WERE, IT LOOKED JUST A BIT DISRESPECTFUL.

FORMAT OF GD WAS THREE MINS TO WRITE DOWN POINTS, AND THEN TWO MINS FOR EACH TO SPEAK. THEN AS TIME WAS LEFT, ONE MIN FOR ANYONE WHO WANTS TO SPEAK. INTERRUPTION IS STRICTLY NOT ALLOWED AND ONE PERSON WAS MILDLY CHIDED FOR IT.

DONT LOOK AT THE PANEL WHEN GIVING GD. LOOK AMONG YOURSELVES. MANY PEOPLE WERE TALKING TO THE PANEL ONLY. BE ON TIME AND BE VERY RESPECTFUL TO ANYONE IN FORMALS THAT YOU FIND AT THE VENUE- THAT PERSON MAY JUST TURN OUT TO BE A MEMBER OF THE PANEL.

DURATION OF GD-30 MINS

DURATION OF INTERVIEW: 10 MINS (maybe somewhat more....FELT MUCH SHORTER THOUGH).

The panel was so nice, I forgot I was speaking to an interview panel. Now I am afraid because I don't remember how my body language was. I got so comfortable answering those questions. Fingers crossed.

for Q1 public sector banks are a crucial part of indian economy and have a vital rle to play in future like financial inclusion, farmer credit etc..being part of public sector provides more satisfaction than in private sector
