you can talk about ur college life and how you excelled in things other than studies. did you conducts any events? organize fests? participate in them? if yes then mention them, if not then think of why you feel you fit the MBA bill. what management skills do you have that you deserve to get an admit into MBA.

you don't need to explicitly mention it in your SOP. Indian MBA colleges accept candidates with zero work-ex, so you should certainly consider yourself very eligible.

"Due to commerce background in 11th and 12th standard, I found my genuine interest in finance and accountancy. I had pursued Bachelor in Business Administration(B.B.A), which helped me in gaining knowledge of business world, its functions and operations. I believe in team work and enjoy to work as a team member, as I experienced it during my school and college days. But I would like to improve myself in terms of skills and knowledge, theoretical as well as practical, so that I could serve the organisation, I join in the best possible manner and devote myself in its development.

FMS, one of the reputed B-schools in India is very well-known for its world-class faculty members, diversified student culture, very good placements, education curriculum, prestigious alumni . All these factors attracted me also, so I really want to pursue my MBA from FMS because I want to fulfill my dreams. And I opine that its the best place for the students, like me."

With a career goal to transform myself into a professional with high standards of competence, ethics, thought leadership and as a team manager who can contribute meaningfully to the company and with social sensitivity which is necessary for the society .A good academic record in my graduation from sciences and a stint in project management during my semester, I had first hand experience on how to manage my resources and chalk out strategies to effectively compete in a competitive atmosphere. My graduation in genetics was not totally void of technical and quantitative applications which are now seen as an unwritten prerequisite for management.
Graduation in science helps me bring over patience, perseverance, decision making and innovative thinking into field of management. This novel mix of science and management I believe down the line would help infuse fresh ideas and thinking from a different thought process quite unconventional and contrary to the norm.
MBA from a B school which would provide a detailed study of how the industry works and elucidates the underlying principles of business world would definitely be the right platform to launch my career in management. As an MBA would help me acquire and hone new skills required to fit the profile of a successful manager. Being a science student i have a flair for arts.I opted for science cause i like facing challenges and wanted to do something thats variant n requires ingenuity.I was dissapointed.wid time i realisd dat an MBA degree would certainly be my cup of tea.The idea of planning,organising,co-ordinating people and implementing the plans to achieve certain goals that can shape the future of an organisation interests me to a great extent

I have been organising a no. of cultural events since school time and they have really helped me to hone my communication and organisational skills.i know i have the confidence and the decisiveness required to be a manager.I am extremely thoughtful and persistent.The college i study in should instill in me d perfect blend of innovation and knowledge to lead an organisatn.And only FMS can provide wd such an enriching learning environment wid d help of its fieldwork,case studies and expert faculty.An oppurtunity to study with highly efficient and ambitious people is an added attraction..FMS can certainly provide me with the conceptual and theoretical knowledge and transform me into an exemplory leader.

As Raven said your previous SOP lacked clarity and structure. even though you have removed certain sentences, the SOP still isn't very convincing. most important aspect to make it more enjoyable is to make it into paragraphs. that way, the idea flow will be clearer and easier to understand.
give them insights into how you think organizing an event made your communication skill better. who was the one who judged you and what recognition has been given to you on that front.
all this and more will certainly improve things.

Till class 12th I neither thought about MBA nor beyond IITs. But being severely ill for around 2 years during classes 11th and 12th forced me to do engineering from a private college near my home. During 3rd and final years of engineering, my participation in a national youth symposium and placement with three companies helped me regain my lost confidence.

you have not mentioned much about yourself and why you think MBA is the thing for you, neither in your general section nor in your service related SOP. try to add that instead of saying that you did not get into IIT because you were ill for 2 years. a sympathetic approach seldom works

the requirement here is to write about how you think service sector is for you. i remember reading an SOP where this guy selected Finance management after he did a course on finance and absolutely enjoyed it. same goes here. if you think you have a special liking for Service management then mention that. it shouldn't be a case where you apply to all possible courses just to increase your odds of getting into FMS

I truly believe that what you plan for the future never happens as you would've imagined so. I also believe in aligning one's career goals with things you want to achieve in your personal sphere. Hence I'd like to mention the various things I want to achieve as an individual which would give a clear indication of my career choice and goals.
A first and foremost need for any professional is to excel at what they do. A doctor, lawyer, engineer and any other professional require a strong command over their subject to excel. It is no different for a manager. A strong understanding over my subjects and then successfully implementing them as a professional and an individual is a priority. To be successful as a manager through deep understanding of my area of specialization is a goal and what better institute for achieving that than FMS since it boasts of an extremely strong faculty by all accounts.
I also want to be a traveler. Experience lifestyles in various cities of the world. I want to experience the great and finer things in life. Like watch an Olympics Opening event live and experience an Aurora Borealis on a camping trip in Canada. A management degree would give me the flexibility, support and the necessary skill to do so.
Finally, I would like to say that I want to enjoy my job or love doing a business if it leads to one. My experience at the ABC Co., India has clearly taught me that I want to be a person who loves Mondays than dread them. Learning at a great institute such as FMS and understanding the art of management plus command over the technical learning is what I what I want to do. FMS would give me the added advantage of having the best minds of the country to learn along with.

One thing here. A management guy no matter how much he travels, always complains that he doesn't get enough time to actually enjoy the city he travels. don't add unneeded details into SOP.

In the long run,I see myself at the helm of affairs in a reputed company, preferably in finance sector,to take decisions that can take the company to a growth trajectory, never seen before.So,it is imperative for me to learn the art of business management and hone my leadership skills.
I am pursuing ECO(Hons) IIIrd Year from Hansraj College and have learned the various economy and industry linkages and analyse the prevailing economic outlook with the perspective of an economist .I led Ruby House at WoodStock School as Captain In 2002-03 and have volunteered to organise events during Ecollouquim 2006,with these exposures learned leadership and organisation skills. Now, I want to take the learning further with the MBA programme at FMS so as to get ready for the myriad challenges that lay ahead of a business leader.

I opine that the FMS carries with itself a legacy of 55years during which it has continuously raised the bar of excellence as a leader of management education.The unique experience of management education at FMS through frequent induatry interactions and mentorships alongwith the customised learning that FMS offers, would definitely build confidence ,stamina and focus to realize my career objective.

your grammar is fine, i have found nothing there, but the content is not interesting.
ppl don't join MBA because the 2 years there will improve their communication skills and managerial skills. there are some basic skill a person is expected to possess. MBA will just add to add, and the extent of improvement depends on your involvement.
so modify your SOP and add points as to what makes u a suitable candidate for FMS

Subsequently, I joined Infosys which helped me to develop my analytical and technical skills. Working in large as well as very small teams helped me understand a lot about importance of work culture rigorous processes, quality, customer satisfaction and innovation. Interaction with senior members and onsite folks helped me gain valuable insights about execution of projects. I also realized the importance of studying from a top notch institute in order to propel my career forward.

Thus I feel that, whether I go for a job in management in a big firm or open a new start up, an MBA from world class institution like FMS with its excellent faculty, small batch size, great alumni network and strong industry interaction will be the perfect stepping stone for my professional success.

Having worked with an IT service provider for almost two years, I have had the basic understanding of this sector, and the immense growth opportunities it provides, has ignited my career interest in this sector.

But services are non-tangible and the quality of most services depends largely on the quality of individuals providing the service. Hence, I feel the need to get a better insight of the sector and understand the various complexities involved, so as to contribute significantly to the improvement of quality services.

I have done my B.E in computer science from M.S.Ramiah institute of Technology, Bangalore. Having gained a good and through technical knowledge with the help of some really wonderful teachers in my college, I joined Philips Electronics India Ltd as a software engineer . It
has been a great place to work. The challenging and highly spirited work environment provided me an ideal platform to put my theoretical learnings into practical use. I have got
a good understanding of how corporate organizations work, how they strive to innovate and out do each other. Having been involved in a projects right from its conceptualization stage till its end , I realized that although technical and domain knowledge are essential to
transform ideas into products that can ultimately do well in the market , efficient management in all diverse areas associated with a product like marketing,sales,stratergy , people management etc,are equally , if not more, critical.

Although this learning in a corporate environment has been a real eye-opener , I have had a keen interest in entrepreneurship from an early age. I have been involved in family run business from an early age. I know, not only the difficulties that one has to face in small
businesses but also the immense freedom and opportunities that one gets if he takes the entrepreneurial path. In today's competitive world, a formal management education is a pre-requisite to succeed in any business or venture.

A decision making ability has nothing to do with MBA. most ppl claim that when faced with a tough situation, they go by their gut feel. i havent heard anyone say "last week was filled with a lot of challenges and quick decisions, and i was always referring my MBA book for guidance"
thats the only controversial statement in your SOP. keeping it or deleting it is your choice. but think of all those ppl who are business tycoons with just a BSc degree.

I finished my engineering in Electronics and Communication, and then joined IT industry as a Junior Software Engineer. I made the journey to become Software Engineer which is my current designation, during this tenure I learned and worked on Technical and functional aspect of ERP, majorly on HRMS and CRM domain of ERP. Understanding how an organization works and how do they assimilate technical knowledge for their growth has always fascinated me and I had always tried to develop this understanding.
With my learning during my professional journey so far, I want to grow myself on management side of Business, which a management education from prestigious institute like FMS. (this vl b fiollowed by some details abt their infrasturcture, faculties, and Alumani details)...

it is always better to write in paragraphs, with each para focusing on a particular topic. but in your case the paragraph seems to be just like a split between a continuous passage. there has to be clear idea shit between 2 paragraphs.

every organisation needs a strong leader and for that one has to be innovative and able to adapt oneself to changes.Developing such qualities go beyond theoretical learning and therefore should be balanced with some exposure to the real world.my goal to direct and inspire a team of committed employees in this rapidly changing world requires me to understand people and such an experience i am sure i can gather from an esteemed institution like fms.

Among the various sub-sectors, IT industry has played a leading role in shaping the nations image. My rich work-experience with TCS for past four years has taught me the importance of customer satisfaction and quality of product in the services sector. Given the opportunities in Services sector and my valuable work-experience, a programme focused towards Services will be the right thing for me. My career goal is to develop myself as a complete professional with high standards of competence, ethics, thought leadershipand as a responsible team manager who can contribute meaningfully to the progress of the company and with social sensitivity which is necessary for the welfare of the society. I am a focused and proactive person and always strive for excellence in my endeavours . B.Tech in CSE has given me an understanding of technical knowledge and 5 months of work experience in a software firm has given me a sneak preview of professional world which require a distinct skill of emotional sensibility /control and tolerance due to involvement of finances.
An MBA degree course from FMS will provide me an opportunity to gather sound grasp on the business fundamentals and enhance my analytical skills which will make me a better decision maker .
FMS with a strong infrastructure and a team of experienced and dedicated faculty members , is a place where I find endless opportunities and passion for excellence in dealing with global needs. The exchange programs with various instituitions will help develop management and cross cultural skills and concepts in global business contexts. Great SOP!!. The thing i liked in your SOP is that you have spent sufficient words mentioning your strengths. thats really great. not only does it make your SOP more meaningfull, it also gives the readers a very quick understanding of you personality.

always remember, never give out more than what you need to in an SOP. mentioning about the exchange program can totally screw up everything. why do u need to talk about that? they will spend the entire time discussing/testing about your understanding of MBA exchange programs, which if you take my word is very complex.

why do i see traits of overconfidence in the first few lines.
the fact that u have got a gold medal in graduation does not mean you should do your masters. MBA as you would know requires flair for management. i understand that you have highlighted your interest in the next few lines, but the tone at the begining is that of a snob. interviewers pick such stuff very well and you could be doomed in the interview

Please review my SOP.

My ultimate aim is to be a part of strategic decision making team where I can utilize my technical as well as managerial skills to contribute towards the growth of the company. I always try to give my best in whatever I do. My drive to excel is reflected from the fact that I qualified IIT JEE-2003 and received university gold medal during graduation though being a Hindi medium student till 10+2. I learned the importance of working as a team and contribution of individual towards the success of team while playing basketball and handball for the school and university teams and captaining university handball team.

After engineering from Indian School of Mines Dhanbad with my major as Mineral Engineering I joined Bateman Engineering, a South Africa based MNC, and working as EPCM for mineral processing plant design. While working as a member of design and commissioning team I learned the importance of proper planning, execution, team coordination, manpower management for the success of a project in this high risk business. My experience at Bateman has pushed my interest in operation management.

A management degree will surely help me to take a step further to achieve my goals.FMS being the one of the best institutes for management will surely help me to hone my managerial skills and will provide me the knowledge which will be helpful to achieve my goals. It will also provide me a platform to start my management carrier at a high.

Please review my attempt to answer the second question of FMS..the service sector.

Service sector has been major growth driver for the economy of India, accounting to more than half of the GDP growth of India. With the change in government regulations, I see a lot of opportunity for managerial roles in the service sector. Having worked in the service sector for almost two years has equipped me with the basic understanding of the service sector and its continuous growth has built my interest in it. I understand the complications attached in dealing with the intangibility of the service sector and realize the need for a different perspective when dealing with services. Thus I believe that an MBA with a specialization in the service sector along with a functional area will not only help me to leverage my work experience but will also help me to be a part of the fastest growing sector in India.
This is the best that I could come up with.

I desire to have a major decision making role in an organization, which is generally not possible without an MBA degree. An MBA degree will definitely help me to understand the nuances of management. Now with this degree, i will have the right blend of technical and managerial expertise. This will further enhance my leadership and teamwork skills.

A decision making ability has nothing to do with MBA. most ppl claim that when faced with a tough situation, they go by their gut feel. i havent heard anyone say "last week was filled with a lot of challenges and quick decisions, and i was always referring my MBA book for guidance"
thats the only controversial statement in your SOP. keeping it or deleting it is your choice. but think of all those ppl who are business tycoons with just a BSc degree.
